Laugh Now Cry Later still hasn’t reached a billion streams, and Not Like Us is most likely gonna reach that by the end of this year or very early next year.

In what world is Laugh Now Cry Later bigger than it or as big as it?

Well you responded to my post which was a response to someone talking about the biggest rap song of this decade

That's not my argument. My argument is that it was just as big of a hit on the CHARTS during its CHART RUN and that's a fact. As impactful as Not Like Us was, it still wasn't a bigger hit record than many rap songs released this decade. Why? Because those songs spent more weeks at #1 or in the top 10 or dominated radio for longer and generally had more chart longevity. That's my point.

Streams are arbitrary because they can increase or decrease at any point, based on any number of factors. Case in point, the many songs by the Weeknd that were flops upon release but magically went viral on TikTok and then experienced a surge in streams for a period of time. We have songs from the 80s and 90s that weren't originally successful suddenly experience a massive surge in streams because of TikTok virality or because they were used in a popular movie or TV show.

Another example is a song like Passionfruit. It didn't do a lot of damage on the charts during it's chart run (peaked at #8 and only spent 2 weeks in the top 10), but outside of One Dance, it's the song by Drake getting the most recurrent daily streams.

No one on planet earth other than deranged Drake stans will try to argue that Laugh Now Cry Later is bigger than Not Like Us, you sound crazy

You're speaking of NLU as a hit record using arbitrary factors like a Presidential candidate mentioning the song and I'm telling you that doesn't factor into its success as a HIT RECORD. That is sized up using CHART PERFORMANCE and while Not Like Us is undeniably one of the best performing rap songs this decade on the charts, all I'm saying is that there are other rap songs released this decade that have performed just as well or even better. Doesn't take away from the success or even impact of Not Like Us.

Not Like Us has been out for 25 weeks. It garnered the bulk of its chart points in the 21 weeks it spent in the top 10 and Christmas season is coming, meaning it'll soon get pushed way down the Hot 100 for at least 6-10 weeks, where it'll be garnering the least chart points yet per week. By its 52nd chart week (if it's still charting by then), it'll go recurrent if it drops below #25 on the Hot 100 and that's when it will stop accumulating chart points.

If it manages to surpass The Box in chart points by the time it drops out of the Hot 100 then yes, it'll become a bigger hit than it this decade.
