Maybe not. Bad Bunny hasn’t done super well on the Hot 100 this year, Drake should have a real chance at a second #1 if the album holds well
bad bunny will still clear 100k+ easily going off other spanish albums from less successful artists like Karol G
drake’s definitely gonna drop down hard around there too, maybe another 2-3 weeks floating above 100

Oh yeah the overall album will sell well for sure, I’m just talking about the Hot 100 specifically.
The highest charting song from Un Verano Sin Ti the week it dropped was Moscow Mule at #4, so Drake has a good chance of remaining #1 on the Hot 100 in his second week
Weeknd having a seven-year-old song at #5 is crazy man

Arianna feature dropped this year though
My man.....I remember when C3 came out right in the middle of the Great Recession.
Nobody had money like that and gas prices were as crazy as they were today but Wayne still sold a milli fw in hard copies and people got really invested in the album due to spending their hard earned money on the purchase even while struggling.
I know you're gonna simp for streaming cause of Drake but it's still apples and oranges. Spending money on an album back then even if it was based on the singles showed more dedication to the artist than streaming, of which a good number involves curiosity streams.
I'm not even arguing that the pre-streaming era was better. But it took more dedication for someone to head out to the stores and spend their hard earned money on an album.
Because of the lack of dedication it takes to stream, it's harder than ever before for artists who blew up in the 2020's to maintain successful careers in the music industry and even Billboard themselves noted this.

Carter 3 was so anticipated it was sold in an old reggae shop in the Virgin Islands. I bought it for $30 because the owner had to pay extra to ship it there. he only had 4 copies

I thought it was 2022 it dropped?

I remember kids showing off their CD in my old elementary school like it was a brand new game console that just came out.
I was jealous af and had my pops buy C3 for me. And I would either play it in the stereo or listen to it on my old Ipod(where I would transfer the CD songs to the Ipod.)
Good times.

No funny s*** it blows my mind that the Lil Baby s*** had the highest streams of this decade cuz the discourse around his music doesnt reflect that lol

B-But streaming is more reflective of people's tastes than the pre-steaming era.
These streaming stans gonna change their tune when Lil Baby goes Diamond around 2026 and people scratch their head wondering what impact the album had outside that Summer Protest anthem he had.
my ass was always raised as a pirate i never really had a CD phase
I did both.
Usually, I'd pirate albums I was "meh" about or mixtape songs while buying albums I felt invested in.
I remember downloading a s*** ton of Wayne loosies and mixtape songs. I used to listen to P**** Money Weed daily on the school bus lol.

I know he's a superstar.
I was speaking on the album more than him.

I think Lil Baby suffered the same effect Roddy Ricch had, they both came up and did big numbers with their singles and features.
So everybody streamed their debut until the hype wore off when their music didn’t evolve.

my fault gang i gotta stop smokin

I think it's hit or miss. There's shows he's selling out while there's others he had to cancel.
I definitely don't think he has enough crossover appeal to have a high grossing tour or justify his ticket prices but he has his markets that he's really popular in.
