Neither of them use gimmicks man, y’all act like there a gun to these fans heads
No one is forcing anyone to buy these different covers. It’s just a cool thing for the fans
Yea, that's fine. But it's clearly a gimmick to sell more copies of the album by the definition of the word
It's because Billboard wants to accurately measure how much an album is being listened to in a week. They can't just allow someone to bundle up their albums or sell vinyl that never even get delivered. All I've been saying is that physical sales are not indicative of the popularity of an album anymore, streaming is. That's just a fact. Physical releases are more like merchandise for the fans to collect at this point
Makes sense how vinyl sales keeps increasing but they never talk about vinyl players being sold lmao
They not even playing these s***s

Ok but the point is if two people drop albums and one outsells the other because they dropped 12 collectible versions, it doesn’t equate to people fw the music more

Doesn’t make it not a gimmick

I never said it did
I’ve said numerous times that pure sales and streaming numbers are two different metrics that measure two different things.
Neither one of more important than the other
What’s all the chaos in here?
You guys afraid of drizzy numbers?
Drake selling less than 400k will have some users on here on S watch
Guy thinks you need a new vinyl player with every vinyl you buy
Taylor's Version

Drake sales are irrelevant this point of the career. Especially first week. Seeing as how he puts 0 effort to pump those up.
What’s important is watching every album of his chart simultaneously. Tough as hell.

It would be more interesting seeing him go against taylor
It would be more interesting seeing him go against taylor
I would like to see it
Guy thinks you need a new vinyl player with every vinyl you buy
At that point you are just buying it to hang up in your room, not actually listen to it especially when you're buying multiple cover variations of the same album. It's a gimmick, get over it
I would like to see it
Drake scared tho
So it'll never happen
Guy thinks you need a new vinyl player with every vinyl you buy
If more people are getting into vinyl, vinyl players would be flying off the shelves like the vinyls
But it's stans collecting merch for wall art
Quite literally does
So because it’s optional means that it can’t be gimmicky toward bolstering numbers ? Im just making sure im understanding you right

The reason why someone buys something is completely irrelevant. A sale is a sale is a sale.
Streaming has rotted people’s brains so much that some of y’all really believe physical media is nothing more than a gimmick
That’s a shame man
It would be more interesting seeing him go against taylor
How would that be interesting? Maybe if they both purely just dropped albums. But Taylor would just sell 20 digital remixes and 15 alternate physicals like she always does.
