1. So did Morgan
2. Maybe but no other new artist has seen numbers even close to this. Even Post Malone didn't come anywhere near close.
3. I dunno what you mean by country base, country isn't some popular genre, it's fairly dead outside of Morgan. It's 200k album units, I don't think you're respecting that, that's like 6 million people listening to 50 songs each a week. That's insane.
I just looked and Scorpion did 5.5m in its first 2.5 years, Morgan's 2021 album has done 6.3m. How the hell are you not impressed by that... and this new album looks set to do even more than that. this s*** is unprecedented in the US in the streaming era.
the closest new artist is probably Post with BB&B which "only" did 4.2m with BB&B in its first 2.5 years and that was his 2nd album and I think the biggest of his career
Taylor has a whole catalog and is pulling out every desperaton tactic in the book and I doubt she'll even do more units than him this year unless she drops another album. crazy times
country is not fairly dead at all rn. its in a big resurgence and morgan is just on top (by a long distance). other artists like zach bryan, bailey zimmerman, luke combs also putting up some decent numbers and getting some occasional top 10 billboard hits. genre never even died anyway but its in a better spot now compared to say 10 years ago
i think your post is mostly facts tho. having the top selling album of the decade in the US as someone who isnt the top level name artist like drake, taylor etc. is an impressive feat even if its a long album knowingly taking advantage of the system
2 Mexican songs being in the top 10 billboard
i don’t think there was ever a Mexican song go top 10 either we came a long way 🇲🇽

Doesn't mean she still won't flop. In the streaming era, debut weeks aren't nearly as important as they used to be. People just make a big deal about it because that's when all the headlines about the performance of the album gets written but a solid debut doesn't mean your album will be a success overall. If your debut is boosted mainly by pure sales, chances are within a few weeks, your album will be out of the top 100, if not out of the top 200 altogether.
Streaming and longevity is what determines true success in the streaming era. Taylor Swift has the two biggest album debuts so far this decade but Morgan's Wallen's two albums released this decade will outperform both of them in every metric because of their insane stability/longevity due to streaming.
