I see it as an album about his personal loss and trying to cope with it through religion and his mother's teachings.
I don't believe it was a commentary on cancel culture at it's core even though he's obviously against it and the album has themes of redemption and forgiving.
There's a lot on that album and I'm not going to let a DaBaby verse make me mad and ignore what I love about it.
A song like 24 helped me during the tough times of 2021, not once was I thinking about Marilyn Manson or how he was cancelled while listening to it, nor do I do that now.
That is why it's a reductive view because I get a lot more from that album than you do or probably most people on this forum do cause I believe it's widely disliked here.guy chose not to hear jail god breathed off the grid hurricane praise god jonah okok junya believe what i say 24 remote control moon heaven and hell donda keep my spirit alive jesus lord new again pure souls come to life no child left behind or any of the part 2s that isnt jail pt 2 because thats literally the only song on here with features and lyrical content to make the point theyre trying to make

Yes, the bulk of his catalog is still immensely popular, but it's also true that a lot of people did stop listening to his new work (specifically post-Donda). Just look at the first week numbers for Vultures 2 and Bully

That’s more so due to the quality and sloppiness of the releases than it is to people not listening to Kanye.
If he had another Donda type of era/album I think the first week numbers and all that would’ve been better
