People did actually stop listening to him, he just bounced back in numbers from bully. YOU gotta get off the internet
you a fan of DONDA? the album is literally about him standing up to cancel culture because people called him out for campaigning for Trump
Yes I love that album and I believe that's a very reductive way of looking at an album that's over an hour long.
Idk why you're playing this gotcha game with me like a pop stan, I simply don't care.

it’s so funny when people say “the internet is not real life”
if you took a poll of everyone under 30, even under 40, in the US and asked if they used social media often, it would be clear that the internet DOES reflect irl opinions

the entire rollout was about proving “cancel culture” doesn’t work on him. he brought his 8 year old daughter on stage with an alleged rapist to make that point. DaBaby’s verse on Jail was directly about standing up to cancel culture. it’s not reductive at all, it’s what Kanye intended.

I dont think it reflects but it can influence. Or become a blindspot for yourself, because of algos and whatnot.
I also think you underestimate how many people dont really care or are just busy with their own lives on a daily basis. Who have no clue or care about something you care about or something that is important to you.
It is dangerous to assume.
calling yourself a nazi is like hating on basically every non-white person in the world
people who spewed hatred at one or two groups of people might not have been banned, but kanye managed to spew hatred at nearly everyone like he was going for a record
and on top of that, he did it while saying he actually loves jewish people & wants to be like them the entire time
Well he didn't mention other groups other than Jewish people, so you can see his intent was directed at them, anything else is just an assumption.
The main point I want to bring up is that there's a special privilege that Jewish people seem to get that others don't, if he was hating in Muslims with the same intensity as he did with Jews last year, he'd be allowed to perform. The UK allows Tommy Robinson to perform hate marches against Muslims with no repercussions. A literal murderer was let in to perform last year in the UK. Israelis are the modern day Nazis conducting a modern day Holocaust along with colonial land stealing but no repercussions to their artists or celebrities. There's a double standard here, which was one of Ye's points that he tried to bring up but went about it in the worst possible manner.
None of this is to excuse his behaviour, and he has suffered the consequences of his actions, but just a point I wanted to highlight during this whole ordeal of cancelling shows. If he's trying to make up for the things he's said, I think it's better to show positivity in that he's heading towards the right direction.

That's just how you interpreted that album because that's all you care about.
I see it as an album about his personal loss and trying to cope with it through religion and his mother's teachings.
I don't believe it was a commentary on cancel culture at it's core even though he's obviously against it and the album has themes of redemption and forgiving.
There's a lot on that album and I'm not going to let a DaBaby verse make me mad and ignore what I love about it.
A song like 24 helped me during the tough times of 2021, not once was I thinking about Marilyn Manson or how he was cancelled while listening to it, nor do I do that now.
That is why it's a reductive view because I get a lot more from that album than you do or probably most people on this forum do cause I believe it's widely disliked here.

“he didn’t mention other groups” he’s been vocally anti-black for like a decade
Sounds like a lot of yall cancellers just want him to die or live in shame and isolation tbh

He's been all over the place in that regard the last decade where you can't say he's solely been anti black imo
not to mention he apologized for that as well
Sounds like a lot of yall cancellers just want him to die or live in shame and isolation tbh
Correction: I want his fans to die and live in isolation
Now see how much of those streams were from his projects post Nazi Diddy apologist
He went Nazi in 2023 or early 2024. Also 2025 is post Diddy

You just keep moving the goal posts. You said people stopped listening to him.

i was 5 20 years ago and hopped on during 808s cause my dad put it on my first ipod cause there wasn't cursing and even still if you got on in your teens you still had yeezus and 99% of pablo era plus a pretty flawless discography to flip through to each of those points
Everyone in real life did. Do you actually think people stopped listening to him?
