The scene appears to be part of the knightmare sequence, which is basically a post apocalyptic vision of the future IIRC. Batman’s fit in this scene gave off some Mad Max vibes lol. I think it works considering the setting of it, but if this was just supposed to be him in a regular setting I would agree

I don't know. Leto's joker obviously cares about his appearance. It's not hard to imagine he'd still have silky smooth hair in a crisis. Plus it's a comic book movie and talking about how Joker's hair looks as a plot hole in a 2 min trailer looks desperate

That would make sense. Also the way Snyder talks about making Batman and Leto's joker have an interaction sounds like a new scene that wasn't there initially. I can imagine Leto saying he has to keep his long hair and since the interaction is probably more of a filler than adding to the story Snyder probably just worked with it. I could be reaching though

I'd probably say Leto's personality is what separates him with the other two you mentioned. I think those other two are more liked by the public

Wallace being a detached weirdo makes perfect sense to me considering that’s exactly how modern tech wizards are today. Leto played the role fine and I’m not even the biggest fan of his, haven’t been ever since he became a “method actor”.
