Love the MCU, MCU fans are the problem. Saw a tweet that said that Ant-Man is one movie away from being better than the Nolan trilogy and I just logged off for the day
The irony when randoms came in here to say, "this s*** looks trash, nothing different from the theatrical one"
This is not an echo chamber. Those randoms are just as entitled to an opinion as the frequent posters itt are. Not the same as the same few people always s***ting on a particular franchise/artist. This is not exclusive to film sxn btw

No one said it is but I know you're a veteran. People have "accepted" things for how they turned out but some people are die hard fans and want to see the man's vision, s*** on it when it comes out idc but there's hardcore people (Rooster) who've been holding out for the longest time, let them have it.

Did someone deadass say that
I like the Ant-Man movies but come on

This would only be believable if Edgar Wright took over

Yeah it is what it is I guess
I think it's pretty apparent that most of the movie going audience just doesn't give a f*** about style, visuals, themes, symbolism, etc. if you don't create characters the audience can connect to. Snyder fans can hype up the visuals, the allegories in his films, and all the unique traits that he brings and how his take isn't generic but none of that matters.
The consensus is that Marvel is just better at creating relatable characters that you can connect to regardless of how many movies people consider garbage or mid.
Unless you’re a billionaire capitalist misogynist or a born genius I don’t know what’s relatable about Tony Stark, Doctor Strange, Peter Parker etc
it’s even worse with Captain Mid because they’re trying to make a woman empowerment film yet she’s was born great, has zero personality outside making some monotone snarky comments here and there. Doesn’t help that the film works as a recruitment for the military if people wanted to look at it that way.
Also, TChalla wasn’t relatable at all. Black Americans related more to Killmonger and they made him look like a psycho.

Had thousands of RTs too
Not trying to turn this into a MCU hate thread btw cause we're past that. I'm just saying niggas be tripping
Homecoming being praised as the definitive Spider Man film was embarrassing. MCU made Peter Parker less relatable if anything and lowered the stakes.
Big f***ing facts. Everything about the MCU Spider-Man pales in comparison to Rami’s, Spiderverse and visually the first ASM
Just wanna say the Ant man movies are f***ing dogshit and they represent the death of art and integrity. F*** Feige for booting Edgar Wright

Don't agree with everything said. Tony Stark and Peter Parker have enough charm and onscreen charisma to grasp peoples' attention. Tony Stark's character actually grows from the billionaire capitalist misogynist label.
I can agree with Captain Marvel and maybe even Doctor Strange. Captain Marvel is still an empty suit and Doctor Strange is too similar to Tony Stark.
T'Challa may not have been the most relatable, but Coogler did a good job in creating an ensemble of characters around him people gravitated towards like Killmonger, Shuri, M'Baku, and Okoye. The story around T'Challa makes you empathize with him more.
Black Panther was dead ass a really weird movie for people to group around. The sentiment is that the solution is to work with the American government, the same entity that is response for why black people in America need the help from Wakanda in the first place?
They effectively turned T'Challa into a neoliberal and Killmonger is the Malcolm X type that is turned into a psychopathic villain.
And Peter Parker in the new SMs are disgusting. He is effectively a billionaire's little b**** who goes around trying to please his master by taking out working class people that have been f***ed over by Stark's capitalist tendencies and turned into villainous psychopaths because I guess thats what Disney thinks the unemployed are?
Anyways, Snyder has always known the right messages to tell. BvS's position on how corporations and the media have teamed up to manipulate society for their own selfish desires is a take that is too ballsy for Hollywood and the braindead MCU fanbase

Someone really said that? F*** lol
Again, what does this film have to do with DC trying to catch up? As far as we know this is it for Snyder and DC will continue in another direction
What a mess they’ve created over there.
They have no vision
So like 98% of Marvel post first Iron Man
Yeah sure if that makes you feel better
Trailer looks trash.
DC’s still doing JL. They’re never going to catch up to what Marvel has created.
Trying to get where marvel was at the time when they started way after is what caused a lot of the problems in the first place.
They shouldve been treating it like a marathon
Gonna watch the new DC animated movies in preparation starting with Flashpoint Paradox.
Do you guys think this movie could be sort of like Apokolips War. (Less characters)

having charisma isn't the same as being relatable. Tony Stark in the first Iron Man and by the end of the third film grows but that arc is completely ruined when Marvel decides he should be pro-government by letting them have more control of Shield/Avengers. Jon Favreau's Tony wouldn't have gone that route.
It's hard to empathize or relate to anybody in Wakanda when they're all royalty. Shuri has personality but she was also a born genius who was born into royalty. Also let's be real about Black Panther, trying to tie Black Panther into real life black struggles only made it worse because it only makes you realize it's flaws more. They turned the only Black American character into a psycho just so the audience wouldn't side with him, Wakandans won't help black people around the world but were in bed with the CIA, T'Challa supposedly learns from Killmonger but he did the bare minimum for Black Americans by the end of the film and opened up a random YMCA in the middle of the bay area. T'Challa moving like a neo-liberal but anyways I'm going off topic.
The most relatable character for me has always been Captain America because we actually get to see him start from the bottom. He was just a regular guy with a good heart before becoming Captain America.
What a mess they’ve created over there.
They have no vision
By heading full fledged into a multiverse and letting each director do what they want and letting them express their art? Does EVERYTHING have to be a cinematic universe?
Don’t get me wrong, I love the MCU and what they have going on, but I love that DC is doing something different.
Not to mention this film happened due to a domino effect.
Zack’s daughter took her own life in 2017 during post production which caused him to step away from the film. He stepped away to be with his family, leaving Warner Bros. to get Joss Whedon to finish it. Not only was he abusive on set, causing a rift with the cast and what’s currently going on with Ray Fisher, he also reshot 70% of the film that summer. Most of what was in the 2017 film was Joss Whedon not Zack Snyder. WB wouldn’t even delay the film because they wanted to hit their bonus for the year.
Letting Zack finish the film that got ruined by Whedon was the right thing to do at the end of the day. No matter how it comes out, that’s a remarkable thing on its own. The only other time a filmmaker was able to finish a film they departed was Superman 2 in the 80s with Richard Donner. That turned out to be the better version of Superman 2.
It was only after they fumbled the theatrical cut of Justice League did they hire someone to oversee DC Films, Walter Hamada. His disruption of WBs investigation into Whedon’s behavior aside, he’s steering the ship into a solid direction by going multiverse. The Batman is its own thing like Joker was its own thing and that worked out great for WB.
We don’t need this MCU vs DC s*** anymore. They’re both doing their own thing. You can dislike what you want but don’t be saying s*** without knowing context.
Yeah sure if that makes you feel better
I get your personality is just being edgy and trying irk people to create the illusion that you have an actual opinion but damn do you have anything to say beyond that
Imagine if this sucks after all this hype 🤭
Trailer not looking too hot
Lol then it's gonna be trash.
Best bat man is forever val
I actually like Val. Haven't seen it in some years tho
