EDIT:
This is gonna be SO GOOD
Damn, they went all out on this one
TF? 200 million? What the spent that kinda money on?
We getting a CGI fight scene at the end? Lol

Please dont be filled with cgi

Big elaborate sets if I had to guess
Like this but on a larger scale

Really can’t imagine this movie will be filled with CGI. Part one was inspired by Scorcese films and had very little special effects, HIGHLY doubt Phillips would turn part two into a CGI fest
This is either going to be so annoyingly up it's own ass that it'll be s*** on for decades or a F***in masterpiece.
I know this site has this on/off switch between trash and classic but with this specific movie.....there is literally no in between.
It probably won’t do a billi. But I doubt this movie will be trying to be a date night movie either, just like the first one wasn’t .
I think if we get a few great trailers, and the early reactions look promising then I think this film will still end up making a good profit
If a s***ty sequel like Venom 2 can make 500 million in a pandemic, then I’d imagine a Joker sequel can definitely put up really good numbers
Y'all remember when the news was basically telling us the first movie was going to set off a rampant wave of mass shootings?
They don't have that kind of marketing momentum. The first one was almost taboo when it hit screens because of that.
I wonder how it'll do. There's just a lot of question marks with this film and I feel like I'm going to not like a musical joker movie lol
Ohh that’s a great idea, would be the best possible way to reveal this film
Now I’m gonna be disappointed af if this doesn’t happen lmao
Oppenheimer teaser with Nope is one of my favorite movie events ever

Arthur Freed homage

Cops were literally outside my theater the entire opening weekend, Thursday included
Yall thinking this a full on musical or nah
Half and half. And like the tea, I'm meh on it at first glance.
The movie deserves a chance though, at least they're trying something different. Don't know why it's so f***ing hard to do a Joker movie though. It always has to be some kind of tongue in cheek subvert expectations s***.

So wild. They would've banned a movie like this in the 70's
2019 had the most number of billi dollar pictures ever and seemed like a fever pitch for the box office and blockbusters etc. i wonder where it would’ve gone without covid
Wasn't that the end of movie pass?

It ain’t Clockwork Orange or Straw Dogs, whoadie

I know. It's not as bad, but the way the media portrayed it, they wouldve given it the treatment
$200 million? Holy moly guacamole 🥑
It CANNOT fail.
Add marketing costs and you're probably looking at $275-$300 million. This needs a billi to make a profit, right?
DC fanboys
Casual movie goers recognizing IP
loser joker fanboys
Gaga stans/alternative non traditional movie goers
And this is before all the people that watched the first one
It will do well commercially but most likely not critical unless there is some grand bloody romantic finale that blows audiences away. The musical aspect will be what holds it back
Lots of casual movie goers didn't like that mean girls reboot was a musical and some even walked out. That was basically just a lighthearted comedy. Now imagine the juxtaposition of the dark drana of joker 1 with try hard musical numbers forces in. Audiences who enjoy musicals goto the theater not amc's

Here's hoping it's not a full-on musical. I can't stand those Fr
About God damn time
