Margot
Insane budget tbh. This movie literally can’t afford to fail at all
I’m optimistic though, part one was better than anyone expected it to be

This won’t do nearly as well as the first lol. I can’t imagine it being a date night movie.
Damn, they went all out on this one
This better not be some mid with that a high of a budget
Joker 1 only cost 60 million to make and turned out great despite some flaws
This won’t do nearly as well as the first lol. I can’t imagine it being a date night movie.
It probably won’t do a billi. But I doubt this movie will be trying to be a date night movie either, just like the first one wasn’t .
I think if we get a few great trailers, and the early reactions look promising then I think this film will still end up making a good profit
If a s***ty sequel like Venom 2 can make 500 million in a pandemic, then I’d imagine a Joker sequel can definitely put up really good numbers

I think you underestimate how popular the Joker is worldwide
And the fact that it’s a musical won’t hurt the box office as much as some might think. Wonka just did 600 million, and that film will undoubtedly have had much less hype than this movie will have

Bruh, Color Purple, West Side Story and In The Heights all flopped
Bruh, Color Purple, West Side Story and In The Heights all flopped
And none of them were a sequel to a billion dollar film based around the most popular villian OAT
And my point was that Wonka just showed that being a musical doesn’t automatically doom a movie’s success, most people thought Wonka would be a huge flop and that Chalamet was horribly miscast
niggas going nose for nose
Damn, they went all out on this one
Only ~ a dozen movies a year get this budget. Makes sense they'd bet on something that cleared a billion last time.
Argyle was another $200 million budget
I think you underestimate how popular the Joker is worldwide
Coming out near Halloween, we’re getting another year of Joker x Harley couple costumes lol
Bruh, Color Purple, West Side Story and In The Heights all flopped
Mean Girls, D***s, Waitress. They're certainly making a lot of them. Must mean something
Bruh, Color Purple, West Side Story and In The Heights all flopped
Joker made more than any of those films did in their full runs in its opening weekend. Has a huge leg up off the bat, musical or not
Damn, they went all out on this one
$200 million? Holy moly guacamole 🥑
It CANNOT fail.
Add marketing costs and you're probably looking at $275-$300 million. This needs a billi to make a profit, right?
2019 had the most number of billi dollar pictures ever and seemed like a fever pitch for the box office and blockbusters etc. i wonder where it would’ve gone without covid
Bruh, Color Purple, West Side Story and In The Heights all flopped
Two of those were dark dramas and the last was during COVID not to mention this doesn't include the fact Joker is a sequel and based on IP with two leads frankly bigger then anyone in either of those films.
Really bad comparisons this has more in common with Wonka

Yea this even if it sucks clears that 600 million and if it's good..... oh man def highest grossing non Disney musical

WSS came out same day as NWH too I think
least Rach Zegler got to sing in Hunger Games too and that was a hit
