Is this bad enough to fall into so bad its funny territory or is it just flat out bad

It’s not bad it’s just boring

your mileage may vary. Depends on what constitutes as so bad is funny for you.
Joaquin Phoenix legit busts out a Foghorn Leghorn imitation in the third act that caught me off guard lol
Watched it again
Seeing that looney tunes scene in dolby high as f*** is peak ngl. That intros been stuck in my head since yesterday.
Just rewatched Joker 1
And the musical s*** isn’t as random as we all thought…music is a big part of Arthur’s character
He dances all throughout the movie and literally sings at the end…so Todd Phillips wasn’t talking out his ass…he did plant the seeds
A lot more action in Joker 1…which I do wish we got more of in 2 but it makes sense since he’s a prisoner and in court lol…he can’t have a gun in those scenarios
Joker 2 wasn’t needed but I think the sequel compliments the first one nicely after the rewatch
This is so stupid
ignoring the strange conspiracy theory of thinking a movie studio specifically went out it's way to burn 200m to make people mad? I don't really see the whole "humiliation ritual" or "hate letter to fans" like other people do
if anything this film has like, an absurd reverence for Joker
Make a film intentionally showing a villain as relatable
People relate to the villain
Waste 200 million dollars to intentionally bomb the sequel?
I wouldn't exactly call that genius
Wasn't media hoping for Joker to get losers to rile up and do crime and it didn't happen? If anything it had less of an effect than they thought
Jeeeeesus
https://twitter.com/discussingfilm/status/1842587063331537393Seems early on with the announcement of the sequel and snaps of scenes there was hype but it all died down. I didn't even know it was out this week
This is so stupid
loser cope
Yeah this wasn’t that bad the 2nd time around
The only downside to this flopping is that this is just going to reaffirm the fact that major studios are risk averse.
We’re never getting a non standard superhero movie for a long long time
