You can’t show me a performance from Jay-Z that Lil Wayne is incapable of doing.

You can show me a performance from Michael Jackson that he’s incapable of doing yes.

Lil Wayne is incapable of performing in four different stadium tours

Also what kind of a***ogy is that? 99.9% of artists are incapable of performing like Michael Jackson

Touring stats has zero correlation to someone being a much better performer.

Especially when the tours you bragging about had bigger artists as co-headliners that can do solo stadium tours

It’s not about selling the tickets, it’s about being able to put on and be a part of a show that’s in a stadium setting. Lil Wayne has never shown any inclination that he can put together or deliver a live show worthy of a stadium setting. Jay has done it four times on four different tours.

Majority of Super Bowl performers never had a stadium tour prior so again not really a correlation to anything and just random touring stats

In recent years, a lot of the artists had either done stadium tours prior or had stadium tours right around the corner after their Halftime Shows. And the ones where neither applied were high quality live performers. Wayne is not.

  • Aug 26, 2025

Why do some of y’all niggas wanna keep rap in a box so badly? And what’s with this obsession of thinking Wayne should be given the Halftime Show? He’s simply not good enough of a live performer to do it, no hate to the guy he’s still a GOAT artist

Pointing out ones who then announced a tour after because of increased hype from the SuperBowl doesn’t really make sense. You’re bringing up what Wayne hasn’t had prior to doing SuperBowl.

The ones who did it after their SB shows, it was easy to predict that they would be capable of doing stadium tours one day. Lil Wayne will never do a stadium tour in his entire career. He’s simply not good enough (or reliable enough) of a live performer to do that. He’s just not.

Performing in a venue is mostly based on your demand/popularity… not how good you are as a performer.

Taylor Swift could sell more tickets than Beyonce, Jay-z, Kendrick, SZA, Drake, and Weeknd combined but that doesn’t make her the best live performer in history

Lil Wayne is popular enough to do a small run of stadium shows, especially as a legacy/nostalgia sort of thing. The problem is he’s nowhere near good enough of a performer to deliver a stadium show. Taylor’s not great either, but she at least has theatrics to back it up.

It’s the same reason Drake hasn’t done a stadium show yet. He’s popular enough to do it, but not good enough of a live performer to

I didn’t realize you were in LiveNation meetings to be able to confidently claim why artists made their touring choices lmao.

    But going off your logic…

Every single Jay-Z stadium tour was with a bigger co-headliner.

When he did his own solo headlining tours they were always in arenas. Even 4:44 Tour which was after already doing previous co-tours in stadiums.

So what does that say about his ability to put on a stadium show as a SOLO headliner?

He would obviously bring out a guest or two if he did the Super Bowl, nobody said he wouldn’t

Ok and Wayne would obviously too? So in conclusion they both can do arenas solo but need other names for a stadium? Meaning they’re both similar tier?

No, the point I’m making is that Wayne isn’t good enough of a performer to command a stadium setting, with or without a guest.

Jay, while he most likely would bring out a guest or two for some extra theatrics, is a good enough performer to be on a stadium stage, but he wouldn’t NEED to. We’re not talking about embarking on a stadium tour, we’re talking about a 13 minute Super Bowl show.

Jay isn’t commanding a stadium stage by himself either lol. For a tour it’s gotta be a co-headliner, for a half time it gotta have multiple guests.

He’s in the same boat as Wayne who would also need those scenarios for a tour or half time

Yeah they are both in the same tier if you completely ignore the quality of performers they both are

Wayne is literally known for forgetting his lyrics and being a lackluster performer that lets the backing track carry him

Jay has always been known as one of the best performers in rap

What are we really doing here?

    No he’s not.

Jay needs a co-headliner for stadium tours because those are 2-3 hour shows; he alone doesn’t have the live performance capability to do a stadium show by himself for that long.

For a 13 minute Super Bowl Halftime Show he absolutely does.

Wayne couldn’t do either scenario because he’s not. a good enough. performer.

He needs to lol. He has the discography but as a performer he would not be able to keep an engaging Super Bowl Half Time with absolutely no guests the entire way through.

I know Wayne diehards who have seen him live and even they were disappointed
