At the end of the day Jay-Z is closer to a Lil Wayne tier of live performers than he is to someone like Michael Jackson, Beyonce, and Chris Brown lmao.

It will never make sense to talk down on how Lil Wayne could never handle a solo headline when Jay-Z would have to rely on the all the same exact things to put on a good solo half time

well thats because wayne is a significantly worse performer?

What does Jay-Z do on stage that Lil Wayne cannot do?

Here goes a televised Wayne performance from 2 months ago

What Jay be doing on stage that’s so significantly more amazing than that A Milli performance? Wayne can rap an old hit coherently, sound energetic, and do crowd interaction… same tier as a Jay-Z performance

Posting random club performances or him casually coming on stage at someone else’s concert as if a SuperBowl Half Time would have the same effort and execution makes no sense.

I showed you a televised performance in 2025 he did just fine.

Jay is an amazing performer I wonder how it will translate to the Super Bowl
A Super Bowl show is its on unique thing

He's a member of the Hot Boys so it's his concert too

Point is even if they're on the same level, Jay never had straight up godawful performances. I don't want him to perform though.

    I doubt it

Where would they hide the teleprompter so he can read all the lyrics during the performance

I seen Jay and Ye in New Orleans during the Watch The Throne tour and Jay is a great performer. He sounds like he does in the studio, his breath control and crowd control is top tier. He naturally commands your attention without all the antics, he has a measured but powerful approach. Ye on the other hand was just jumping around, running out of breath, and screaming in autotune.

During the concert they would do their songs together and then they separate and take turns doing their discography separately and Jay also had the stadium hyped during his solo time just as well if not better than Ye when certain songs were performed.

Jay has a ton of hits. This revisionist history needs to stop. Ye did not make Jay.

Just a bunch of online talk from folks that never seen seen Jay perform in the flesh, was just lil kids during Jay's run, or didn't get into hip hop till Kanye.

Give me Lil Wayne over Jay Z if we're talking about superbowl performance. Wayne just has a much bigger bag when it comes to well known hits

Some of y’all incorrectly believe that dancing and/or theatrics alone = good live performing

Jay is a master of breath control, stage presence, and rapping flawlessly live. He’s one of the best live rap performers of all time, Wayne isn’t even in the same building as him when it comes to live performances

  • Aug 25, 2025

Jay has gone on multiple stadium tours. How many rappers can say that? Wayne definitely can’t.

Like I said yesterday, the list of rappers who are capable of doing a Super Bowl Halftime Show is very, very short, but Jay Z is absolutely on it

  • Aug 25, 2025

I would have been done it if I was Jay Z and in his position of the NFL tbh

Not surprising, the surprising part is that he hasn't done it already

  • Aug 25, 2025

And yeah I think he can do a halftime.

Especially with Beyonce, but even by himself he has enough anthemic records for it. His own discog and feats.

Now what would the stage design and theatrics be like without Beyonce? Idk.

The entire post is incorrect. You are smoking crack if you think Lil Wayne is anywhere near Jay Z when it comes to live performance

You can’t show me a performance from Jay-Z that Lil Wayne is incapable of doing.

You can show me a performance from Michael Jackson that he’s incapable of doing yes.
