I don't hate or envy the kid himself, but I think it's pretty disingenuous when people say he got to where he is solely through hard work or charisma. He did put in work, but he probably benefited a ton from connections.
Attention is a commodity and in my opinion he's taking attention away, through underhanded competition, from kids who are really trying to rap because they didn't have other options. Also the racial fetishizing in his marketing makes me uncomfortable

Real quick, when it came to Ye, I was wrong. I haven't seen the documentary, I was remembering how Kanye's mom wanted him to go to college and was disappointed when he dropped out. I didn't know she changed her mind and supported him after.
