S*** niggas like jeezy, fetty and s*** hella rappers had big d*** dealers in their hood pay for their come up but that ain't s*** either lol
yeah point being EVERY rapper has had outside help to some degree

They definitely played an active role in his development
"At age 11, my son declared that he wanted to be the best rapper in the world. We said, ‘Sure, why not? How do you that?’ We literally helped him craft that plan for how many hours a day he would have to practice in order to be the best rapper in the world. That experience of raising him has been a series of lessons in dreaming big, being willing to set bold goals and then working really hard to get them."
There's probably a lot of help that they got him that other rappers never got the benefit of. It's cool that he had supportive parents, but what about other potentially generational artists who never get a voice cause they don't have that?
Omg his parents supported his dreams! Terrible!
Money and connections is the game and always will be. White skin also helps ofc. Thread never should have been this long for s*** y’all know the answer to by now.

So having supportive parents is an unfair advantage in rap now? You gonna tell Ye that too, even though he has one of the best come-up stories in hip-hop?
There is nothing wrong with parents doing what they can to help their kids, and Jack shouldn't feel like he has to owe anybody anything. 99% of the artists you know got a push from someone else with more money than them. That's how it works.
Why does he owe
Because he benefits from a culture that originated in the hood and also had advantages over kids from the hood. If he doesn't put anything significant back in (beyond PR moves), it's not the end of the world, but it makes him an opportunist. Time will tell.
This is like that reddit thread where someone called Pink Pantheress an industry plant all because she lived in a decent neighborhood and her production sounded too good.

Nobody owes s*** to the hood because they rap nigga shut up

Ye's parents actively discouraged him from rap. That's why his first album was called The College Dropout. It's different
Not gonna entertain people who tag me like 5 times just with hate haha, I'm trying to have a reasonable discussion while multitasking but it looks like I've struck a nerve.

Facing disadvantages doesn’t make u a better person than someone else who happened to be born into a more advantageous place (or vice versa). Jack seems like a good hearted person who was raised by good people. People who make it out the hood and become rappers are often vilified by where they came from.
so it’s not even their OWN company it’s just a franchise?
of course the COMPANY they essentially work for brought in millions, if they franchise out
what free advertising? flyers for his shows he had to perform at anyway?
And Jack has said heaps of times that when he started out he often performed in front of about eight people
Clearly the advertising didn’t help much.
As someone said earlier, people have got to fw your music at the end of the day otherwise you’re not going to become a star

bro… what about having supportive parents makes you so pressed. any parents can do this, money or not
Op keeps playing innocent saying he’s “just tryna get a feel for our perspective “ when in reality he’s obv pushing a silver spoon / white man bad tip and even implied having your parents believing in ur dreams growing up is something that makes u lesser than
Ye's parents actively discouraged him from rap. That's why his first album was called The College Dropout. It's different
did you watch the ye documentary??? his mom was especially supportive of him rapping

You're right, disadvantages and advantages don't make someone inherently 'good' or 'bad' on a moral level, but I've never remotely made that claim here.

Yes u kinda did bro. U were saying those born with advantages are required to kiss the feet of those born with less or they’re morally bad
