Is belly xo or roc nation

Hes actually signed to both, think that Roc Nation is distribution but not sure

  • Sep 18, 2021

Labels should only be looked at as stepping stones for artists not some group that had to succeed together. Thats why I hope TDE is done soon just like Roc a fella etc. Artists gotta move on also not every signee needs to be a star

This is like asking “how could a label with kendrick lamar be a failure”

are you suggesting that TDE was a failure?

Schoolboy Q - CrasH Talk (Trash Talk) was horrid and was the definition of “came and went“
SZA - Is a climate change denier now?? Might be MAGA?
Kendrick - nowhere to be seen, may have straight up retired?
    Ab-Soul - LMFAO
Skiiwalker - don’t even know dudes full stage name which should tell you all you need to know
Isiah Rashad - nowhere to be seen as well, did he just f*** around and decide he’s done with music?
Jay Rock - label paid for promo and positive press when his wack album dropped and, shocker, it’s nowhere to be seen again

Seriously, how can anyone support this? Who is leading the charge here? Their output is objectively suspect and i reckon their reign of most balanced label might be out the door

Last Great Vanity Record Label was MMG

Post streaming it really don’t make sense to sign to a rapper

  • Sep 18, 2021

Also look at Bellys writing placements

    Dont kill me lock thread

Not a complete failure but their trajectory seemed much crazier than where it looks like it’s gonna end up with Kendrick leaving and no new adequate signees in sight

Niggas looked like Death Row with none of the weaknesses

Nav bigger than everyone other than Drake from ovo so no

  • Sep 18, 2021

    CrasH Talk so overhated

  • Sep 18, 2021

Ktt full of people that want to see other people fail

    It’s honestly pathetic

  • Sep 18, 2021

    nigga is Weeknd on it?

  • Sep 18, 2021

    Belly a great writer
    Nav a strong producer
88 glam was cool while they lasted
I wouldn't call XO a failure from a label point of view.

I've heard like 1 song from the token white guy not really sure why he's there tho

  • Sep 18, 2021

I’ve heard way more people talk about Nav than Magic Jordan

    Nav and Belly doing alright.

Just like Drake and OVO, their labels are managed and operated by Drake and Weeknd team so the focus not really on the artists on the label. Not to add Sal and Cash manage other artists not on thr label

    Zack From The Six

How is OVO a failure? PND has had a super successful career, dvsn, Majid Jordan and Roy Woods are all doing fine, Popcaan is working hard & they just signed Smiley who is one of the hottest out there rn. OVO gives proper support and visibility to its artists but in the end it's their job to shine. There's a reason why their artists won't leave the label, they are happy at OVO

Lol you could say the exact same for XO

Literally could copy paste this with XO and it wont make a difference.

Drake stans bored so they try to run agendas

Most labels wish they could have a artist as big as NAV so saying XO is a failure is hilarious

    Which labels
