like if you heard 10 trap songs from people like Gucci, Future, 21 Savage, Migos you'll get the gist of it

I know he’s treated like a social pariah now but how do you feel about Tekashi 69’s debut album?

    It’s got heavy rage overtones.

I always said it was a classic and the only good thing he ever did, though I wish Carti had the gummo beat

Maybe for young folks having their “trap realized” moment but that totally discredits the mainstream onset of trap music led by T.I., Young Jeezy, and Gucci Mane.

None of their trap had Billboard pop chart success like the late 2010s stuff. Stop splitting hairs.

Lol your opinion is trash but idc enough that it’s just your solo opinion and not the whole community.

Backing down from what ssying 69 is ass isn’t some grand statement

  • Agreed. I moved on from rap, long ago. I feel much healthier, more social, and all around just happier. I think that’s all that our good friend Carl is trying to say.

2021 was a great year for hip hop, it’s normal for things to go back the other way the year after, not sure what he’s referring to

I do see what he’s going on about in the last couple of paragraphs. Hip hop lost a lot of figures that would have led the way to new horizon, whether to death or to jail time, plus the pandemic changed things I’m sure of it

We’re kind of where we were after Biggie and Pac died

I thought so, maybe I need to reassess the data.

Yeah. I don’t like being pessimistic but realistically I don’t see an EM or a HOV in this current generation to hold the mantle in the meanwhile, it’s partially because a lot of these new acts are green as hell.

    They will come though
