@fleur you seem like you are making an effort to engage with the subject in good faith but i think there were a few points that had holes in them i hope the demeanor of ppl itt doesn’t discourage u from interrogating the issue further

I’m just confused as to what the end goal is exactly? I don’t keep up with news outside the US like that but from what I’m gathering it feels like the goal is genocide in either direction
Like if we free Palestine what exactly happens to the people in Israel now? Where do they go? The way people go about this topic it feels like they want to wipe them off the map and move on

PerreoI haven't kept up with the s*** in the middle east post the initial October attacks but from what I've gathered seems like both sides (Israel and Palestinians) want the other eliminated completely
If you ask me seems like american youth has been manipulated into taking an anti Israel stance based on hamas propaganda. A lot of the messaging seems very antisemitic.
Personally i feel like American youth should be protesting things that effect them at home like cost of tuition or student debt
All these college kids just seem to he virtue signaling and joining a trend
I don't agree with the US backing Israel nor do i agree with the years of oppression the Palestinians have faced but tbh its not my problem. All i can do is use my power to vote and unfortunately Israel is the US's proxy into the middle east so they kind of have to d***ride in order to secure American military imperialism

Israel was wrongly given a bunch of land in Palestine, but not ALL the land. That wasn’t good enough for them so they’ve been occupying and oppressing Palestinians on their land.
They then used the October 7th attacks as a means to commit the genocide they’ve always planned on.
Freeing modern day Palestine as it stood pre-October 7th doesn’t displace Israelis.
There’s also no way to maintain peace, tho. At this point, both sides are thirsty for blood. If Israel backed down today and all their troops went home, Palestinians wouldn’t just leave them alone. And after everything that happened, how could one expect them to?
I’m not sure what the solution is, but the first thing that needs to happen is the U.S. needs to stop funding this genocide.

There are definitely users that have been banned and muted in bait threads like these, but not over international politics I don’t think. Typically in LGBTQ+ threads.
