@Snowboy I am sorry your Lebanese-Jewish relatives had to deal with that. I'm also not surprised they had to deal with that; I've heard that plenty of Arab, Lebanese, Syrian, and Jordanian Jews have faced the same level of racism as Jewish people; it's disheartening that the government can't see that the mistakes they're making are the same ones plotted against them for generations, and I'm also aware that Muslims were among the first to welcome Jewish people with open arms. According to a hadith I once read, a Christian person can live in the same household as a Muslim, and a Jew can eat alongside a Muslim.

I understand that the regime is corrupt; I am not defending them in any way; I am simply explaining the nuances of how it came to be, and how it began to regress. Please do not interpret my argument as the "devil's advocate" or as supporting the OP's title. Israel is a corrupt regime, and the world would be better off with Bibi dead rather than alive.

Where Im at in Germany basically everybody is by default pro Israel because thats what people been conditioned to be out of some holocaust guilt. They would never ever engage with a different opinion or with the discussion. Hence why our police held back several actual pro palestine jewish scholars from entering the country and speaking on conferences

A free Palestine would be a multiethnic state, the Palestinian people are a plethora of religions and have alliances w non Arabs in the area

A free Israel would be a white, Jewish state. Nothing else that’s lived there would be tolerated in an equal manner

@fleur you seem like you are making an effort to engage with the subject in good faith but i think there were a few points that had holes in them i hope the demeanor of ppl itt doesn’t discourage u from interrogating the issue further

and if anyone has texts or sources you recommend to clear up any of the disputed aspects please post them ( @PhilipMorris @americana and others)

If y’all can isolate what the main disagreement is in this discussion and post sources that speak about it i might also look for some passages in the book i just read that relate to the point of contention soon as well

Agree hard on Israel never giving an inch but I've never seen any indication that a Palestinian majority is willing to compromise much on the drawing of borders (iirc a majority of Palestinians still say in polls they'd prefer to reclaim all of historic Palestine, including the pre-1967 Israel). I'd be happy to be proven wrong on that tho, it'd actually give me hope.
