It's not even nepotism. The dude just got really lucky because they got rid of a Managed Service Provider to create their own IT dept a few years ago, so the guy they had interviewing people for the role wasn't even a IT dude, he was the Director of Facilities or something lmao. I also think he must've known someone in the org that vouched for him.
