It definitely was lol, Castro came to the US for good relations, then Nixon said this mans a commie and that's when the US started the aggtession

You have to make a distinction between acts of self-defence and taking back what's yours and aggression, the slave using violence against the slave owner is not equal to when it happens the other way around

you have to remember cuba literally is trading and has good relations with ussr durin the entire cold war

their relationship was good actually but after castro did the agriculture reform and stuff, it caused a lotta american businesses to suffer, and including him sponsoring revolutionary movements it caused their relationship to turn bad

Yes definitely, but before that Cuba and US history were already intertwined with the Spanish-American war tho

yeah i get that, but their relationship was pretty good before the internal conflicts that was happening in the country

Name me a country thats as big and as racially diverse as America, and name me another country that politicized masks

first of all, racial tensions are not what led to the politicization of masks, second, you could of made the point that minority groups in america live disproportionately in poverty and work low-wage jobs where they are more likely to be in workplaces that are more prone to covid outbreaks, and because of the lax lockdown protocols this led to them being more impacted by covid. but ethnic diversity itself does not equal more cases of covid.

also, cuba has a large mestizo population and there is a large afro-cuban population/black population (ive seen estimates that 10% of cuba is black, and as high as 33% are afro-cuban). it is not some monolithic country.

It's not a monolithic country, but you listed 3 groups compared to the dozens in America. My point is that managing 11 million people on an island with no one going in or out is a lot easier compared to a country of 300 million+ that never enforced any real lockdowns

In no way is having good relations with the USSR a justification for US aggression against Cuba, I hope you don't actually believe that yourself.

Like you said "their dumbass gov", it has way more to do with governance, not just the population taking it seriously or not

yes and it was f***ed up that america did that i dont think anyone agrees with that

also the reason the embargos still exist is because they don't provide america with anything
