Wait.
This game is supposed to release on the SWITCH?!
Oh no baby, I thought this was a next-gen exclusive.
it should have been
isn't slavery apart of most fantasy stories to some extent? why are people specifically upset about this one? someone enlighten me
So is every use of goblins or gnomes or leprechauns in media racist, or are there just special Rowling Rules?
this is what im tryna figure out

I think because nothing is really done about it and only a couple of characters throughout the entirety of the series speak against it.
And also a lot of the characters that say s*** like “Elves WANT to be slaves” are still portrayed as empathetic, good people (i.e. Hagrid and Ron).
So is every use of goblins or gnomes or leprechauns in media racist, or are there just special Rowling Rules?
It’s the goblins being bankers part that gets people I think.
How the hell does someone not get into Hogwarts until their fifth year?
Was our character doing time at a local children’s penitentiary or something?

Maybe they went to another school?
i wouldn't call them quality lol but they aren't horrible
Just gotta agree to disagree

they're depicted as greedy bankers that love money or anything valuable. it's how they're depicted coupled with their physical features
other example is watto or whatever from phantom menace
They’re pretty damn good
eh they're good in the sense of star wars being good or mcu, cause they're related to a series
as films tho they're nothing special, the deathly halllows films are dogshit, and i tend to skip the first two cause they have a diff weaker aesthetic imo and bore me cause they're the intro pieces

The first 2 are more lighthearted because they were kids at the time. Prisoner of Azkaban, and def Goblet of Fire, is when the mood and tone shifted
Need joke spells like one that allows you to make other people and enemies fart
"Flatulento!"

how tf is this getting a native version on the switch?
They meant the original chamber of secrets game from ps2

First part sounds like future content to me. HP series built the universe, FB series expanded the universe, and we'll likely get books/movie series on other aspects of this universe unless releasing Rowling's content becomes too toxic to be worth the billions of dollars that content would inevitably make.
Second part sounds like humans are complicated people

Are the writers or even directors making this connection, or just people on the internet inferring it?
Sounds dismissive but fr? So nothing with a big nose can also be greedy ever again...in all of fiction. Otherwise it's anti-semetic to people?
And "greedy" is only really applicable to Watto because the goblins don't come across as that. They have different views and the only real connection between the two goblins are a big nose and some loose connection through money

writers? you mean rowling? you know this isn't new right? like it's been since the movies, maybe even the first, and prob in the books
are you acting like things don't have meaning unless explicitly stated? the way goblins were depicted jewish stereotypes and caricatures which is why there's always been controversy. like obviously her dumbass hasn't said "these are supposed to be jews" but that's not needed to make the connection and such
the goblins were literally depicted as cold and greedy wym. like as long as you could give them a price they liked they'd be down, e.g. godric's sword and getting into gringott's. also "loose connection"? they're literally bankers and control the economy
the actual issue is whether it's antisemitic
edit: in simplest terms, it's the traits coupled with the depictions that make it look back and antisemitic to ppl, instead of just "here's a way to talk about this subject and treatment of a group like with the house elves"

I’m pretty sure you can find fart fetish vids on the Hub right now, no need to wait for this game

These are children my guy.

Yes writers as in Rowling and George. Your/y'alls bar of "anything with a big nose that's connected with money" is dumb af to me, so unless Rowling or George said something along the lines of "and here's our version of Jews
" I think it's another case of internet niggas crying wolf oppression.
And again, the Goblins in HP aren't depicted as greedy; they're depicted as bankers. Y'all are adding that other s*** because y'all gotta feel outraged for 16hrs out of every 24hr day.
And before you "yeah the goblins aren't greedy
" me, how are they greedy? They believe that an item's true owner is its creator, and many of them are bankers. That doesn't = greed, and that certainly doesn't = what should be the higher bar of "antisemitic"
Watto was greedy
That doesn't mean "THESE ARE THE JEWS
" to anyone except mfs who only feel validated when they crying.
