This just proves once and for all, American charts are outdated. International the way to go now ✍🏽

If Kendrick and Beyoncé did those numbers I def think people on here would say they flopped.

Adele did 700k and the most physicals of the year along with the biggest numbers worldwide and they were still falling over themselves on here to say she flopped.

there's just no way 300-400k can be a flop in 2022. the game is all f***ed up

if we're being realistic this was always gonna happen, streaming listeners don't f*** with his pop sound like that. MDM is still his strongest streaming performance relative to how many songs there were on it. he has no other option but to make echoes of silence 2.

Abel sang down an octave on Gasoline and his stans think that makes it Yeezus

i'm even seeing people that aren't his stans repeat it tho. like he was going for a cohesive album statement and not radio play/singles. that doesn't even make sense to me. can it not be both at the same time?

Lol you have to compare to their previous sales. Beyonce has never sold that well. Think she has more #2 albums than 1s. Dot maybe but at the same time you can't compare the sales climate of then to now

    you stan a tiktok "artist"

Who is that? You don’t have any room to be pretentious and look down on tiktok if you’re defending H&M music. Weeknd is for soccer moms who had coke problems in college

Agreed there’s clearly some potential hits here in a sense but the songwriting just isn’t strong enough

not even necessarily hate, it's just what's getting the attention rn. it was drake and ye, it was tyler, it was dababy, it was travis, now weeknd. this is unfortunately what makes the site fun and entertaining to the majority

    Nah he really hasn’t

He can take risks for a song or two but he tries to serve 10 different groups on each album and it results in a discography post 2015 where people add the 3-4 songs targeted to them on his album and delete the rest

He needs to commit to a full project

I swear you really need to sit down and give Drake's albums a real listen instead of just a quick listen to a few seconds each song. You are really missing out if you think like this. His albums have improved tremendously from TML all the way up to CLB they only get more cohesive and ambitious even now that he has less to prove

nah just tell weeknd to give up the 80s act, and this also reeks of racism cause you obviously can’t hang

    Reeks of racism??

Man if you don’t take that woke s*** or whatever you’re on to Twitter. Don’t be accusing me of racism you clown.

We need mainstream acts that don’t follow the crowd. It’s the difference between mid like CLB/Live Life Fast and greatness like TPAB, 4:44, The Off Season, CTRL, And Dawn FM.

I f*** with those artists individually, but seeing them on the tracklist of every album makes me sick. You already know what it’s gonna sound like. Rarely does it ever make a good album.

I think it’s lack of marketing did more for that then the sound of the album did.

Drake’s albums sold heaps and yet the critics and general public had a mid response to it.

I think the fact that only single he dropped for it was 6 months before and didn’t blow people away plus the fact that he gave four days notice with virtually no marketing.

Look at Adele, drops Easy In Me and gives 30 days notice with advertising everywhere.

Imagine if Abel did that with Sacrifice?

yeah you're not wrong, this dropped way too fast when almost everyone was still celebrating entering the new year
