I think the most Kendrick does is 300-400K. Beyoncè won't do up to 300K regardless of how she drops her next album. Frank's next album will flop but he's never been seen as a commercial juggernaut so I doubt anyone really cares and SZA's next album should have a very strong debut.

If Kendrick and Beyoncé did those numbers I def think people on here would say they flopped.

Adele did 700k and the most physicals of the year along with the biggest numbers worldwide and they were still falling over themselves on here to say she flopped.

Yeah, it’s a new era now that Billboard have cut all the shortcut options.

Kendrick probably gonna do well but not over 500. Beyoncé oughta not do a surprise drop, she doesn’t have the buzz that she had around the Lemonade era and it showed for that Lion King album.
Travis is probably gonna have a big drop but will still sell 200k.

The one I’m interested in is Frank Ocean. Blonde was a watershed moment for him, interested to see if people get out there for a new album.

Also think SZA’s gonna do well whenever Punch steals her harddrive again considering the numbers Summer Walker did.

Those songs came and went really fast. They were moments but they didn’t have any lasting power. It didn’t matter who the artist was, during the pandemic in 2020it was extremely hard to have a single to go number 1 and stay there. It was extremely hard to push a song when there’s no culture and everyone is literally inside.

It’s no coincidence The Box and BL over performed, people associated their memories to how life was before the pandemic happened.
