Ok but this you
What tweet did you post? I can't see it.
Oh well yeah this site sucks when you’re genuinely trying to discuss an album lol my bad for the confusion. At the end of the day if you disassociate internet reactions from your real life feelings towards albums/artists it’ll be much more enjoyable on here. I find this thread hilarious personally and I love the album. I’m winning on both sides as far as I’m concerned

i can tell you rn this is not something i struggle with fam. lmao both dawn fm and ds4ever got multiple listens. i'm glad you can enjoy all the nonsense tho i just wish we could really talk some music in between sometimes
in the first track he is singing about dying and being burnt and mfs here are saying he wants radio play, yall are f***ing braindead
Ok but this you
We dont use the word charlatan enough. It’s a classier take on fraud imo
This a L for Abel.
The album is his best yet but the marketing didn’t match up.
Dropped Take My Breath 6 months ago and then did f*** all except tweet “The Dawn Is Coming” and a couple of features. Then gave the album 4 days notice. A lot of the general public around me didn’t even know it was out.
Imagine if he gave himself a proper set up like Adele did and dropped Sacrifice and announced with it that the album would be out in 30 days. By then the single would have been huge (shit is blowing up now) and people would have been tuned in.
Have to say though, I doubt this will matter in the long term. Weeknd albums have super longevity. Gunna’s sales won’t hold like this and by next week Weeknd will have his no.1 and by the end of the year after all the singles from this album blow up it will probably be the highest selling overall of the year.
This entire post is so wrong
Ok but this you
when i saw "he's done out here" and saw the avi before recognizing who it is i was about to start cracking tf up
Ok but this you
Huh? I'm blocked by that account

Yeah man as sad as it is I’ve given up on real conversation on a macro scale, but this site does have its moments where true dialogue happens and those moments really are what makes this place beautiful
So much for Weeknd being MJ, he’s not even Gunna
He was never MJ in any way. That was always blasphemous.
Yep. That's part of why I'm eager to see Kendrick, Beyoncè and Travis drop so we get a good idea of their current commercial standings.
Yeah, it’s a new era now that Billboard have cut all the shortcut options.
Kendrick probably gonna do well but not over 500. Beyoncé oughta not do a surprise drop, she doesn’t have the buzz that she had around the Lemonade era and it showed for that Lion King album.
Travis is probably gonna have a big drop but will still sell 200k.
The one I’m interested in is Frank Ocean. Blonde was a watershed moment for him, interested to see if people get out there for a new album.
Also think SZA’s gonna do well whenever Punch steals her harddrive again considering the numbers Summer Walker did.
then we keep a couple of those songs and add say so, circles which was HUGE, savage, WAP, etc
no year is gonna have one or two big joints basically what i'm saying lol
Those songs came and went really fast. They were moments but they didn’t have any lasting power. It didn’t matter who the artist was, during the pandemic in 2020it was extremely hard to have a single to go number 1 and stay there. It was extremely hard to push a song when there’s no culture and everyone is literally inside.
It’s no coincidence The Box and BL over performed, people associated their memories to how life was before the pandemic happened.
I still don’t get how gunna sold so much. We’re there even any hype singles before the album?
Lol he would have prolonged the rollout to sell maybe 5k more copies. Lol cut it out
He def would have sold more then 150k off the back of a hit run from Sacrifice and proper marketing.
i want to know why people keep acting as if Dawn FM and its sound was going to alienate and shun listeners.
is it not just some dance music and synth pop bops? it's not aphex twin. what are we talking about here?
Ok but this you
Shes cute đź‘€

I think the most Kendrick does is 300-400K. Beyoncè won't do up to 300K regardless of how she drops her next album. Frank's next album will flop but he's never been seen as a commercial juggernaut so I doubt anyone really cares and SZA's next album should have a very strong debut.

People on here really have parasocial relationships with some of these artists.
XO fans outside the Billboard headquarters screaming STOP THE COUNT.
IT WAS RIGGED. Abel won. Trust me.
Ok but this you
“He’s done out here” ppl are so over dramatic for what
I still don’t get how gunna sold so much. We’re there even any hype singles before the album?
drip season is his definitive series, it was always gonna have a ton of hype off the name alone. it's like how wayne has tha carter and trippie has ALLTY. though i definitely expected something more in the 120k-130k range considering that the singles didn't do that well, he overperformed for sure.
Gunna fans only care about sales cause they’ll never come first in anything else!
in the first track he is singing about dying and being burnt and mfs here are saying he wants radio play, yall are f***ing braindead
idk if this is making the point you think it is, but this kinda why weeknd fans getting clowned
so what he's singing about dying and being burnt? lol
i think this thread needs the gif tho
