it was more of a sidetrack for my own amusement because of previous discussions in this sxn. If change needs to come, I prefer to bring effort for change in real life, online is just entertainment, in short I just really like argueing against users in this sxn even tho it will presumably never accomplish anthing

If you know it won't accomplish anything, as well as the fact that you were sidetracking, are u admitting what you posted was misguided from the real discussion here

Not really, I probably have more experience with feminism than any other poster here, I attended multiple feminist rallies. Im not here to mock. None of the discussion here will accomplish anything since all of us here are one big echo chamber, all of us are pro female rights and we want to bring change. But we can only do that IRL. If anything this was a way for me to talk to like minded individuals and try to keep the thread high in the list through bumping

no effective activism has ever taken place online guys :( the #metoo movement didn't actually bring about greater awareness on sexual assault in hollywood, despite being misguided at times. blm didn't originate as a twitter movement before the protests and demand for legislation change. the egyptian revolution/arab spring weren't planned and broadcasted online making it reach far more screens than it would've if online activists hadn't gotten so invested. too bad :( internet is useless echo chamber none of us are capable of real change

@Odeon no offense but i think you are rworded

Raising awareness online is apart of real change.

The more people educated on certain matters the more people can help... "in real life"

check me if I'm wrong but I don't think p*** itself is liberating

however, criticizing someone on the basis of how much of their skin they show is also problematic.

The notion that women's bodies should be de-objectified and belonging to the woman the body actually belongs to, should absolutely be commonplace

so p*** is complicated because one, in this day and age it allows for women to take charge in the selling of their bodies online, as opposed to potentially having a male in charge of their sexual representation in their work. This is preferable to the p*** of yesteryear, but p*** still can be problematic with what should be a healthy s***life and view on sex/sexuality

P*** is normally so exploitative and it can keep this hold on the view of sexuality to where it applies this idea of entitlement, to think of someone sexually when in reality it makes one forget that this person is more than just some sexual object but a person with their own dreams, ambitions, spirit, thoughts, and ideas about sexuality,

P*** just makes you an empty shell imo, not to shame anybody, but rather highlight that its a vice and creates a mindset disconnected from reality and other humans
