I know the streets are still hot but I’m done pretending this is ok. Violence leads to nothing good

Paramount has a really good documentary called Predators that came out this year taking a look back at the To Catch a Predator era, the episode where the guy killed himself, and copycats that exist today including Hansen’s new show.

The general publics lack of consciousness with regards to that serious topic is much bigger than hip-hop, streamers, and music.

It’s a really well done doc I highly recommend

    Bout to watch it thx

that’s a pop culture and social media issue, it also existed before the battle

And you saying “hurrrr durrr if Drake loses the game loses” literally only feeds into the outrage marketing and engagement bait

You are totally validating my point.

Plenty people dont care about hip hop. They just saw an opportunity and we let them get some coins with this.

When Miley was a vulture the whole game was s***ting on her and now we acting its ok to let other cultures make bank?

And you wonder why nobody takes hip hop serious now?

I read the documents and I think what they're accusing Drake of is fixing the algorithm in his favor.
he might not be buying 5 million streams for a new hit song, but perhaps a little extra 500,000 for a back catalog song to boost it in the recommendation algorithm and get playlist placement

this would be difficult for anybody but a real streaming number nerd to prove but maybe we'll get some proof if the case hits the courtroom

So we just can’t have rap battles ever again, even from 2 of the GOATS because rap has been commodified for 30+ years?

You’re all over the place, first drakes opps and other stans actually lost because they laugh at Drake taking L’s

Then the whole game lost because Drake lost

Now we gotta tame ourselves because of capitalism

You know what could’ve stopped all this? Drake gracefully saying he lost because he did, not suing, and going to make incredible music

And doing it through the Stake tip service makes it hard to track

No it’s more they’re alleging Drake sent money to George Nguyen through the “tipping” system who “from there, Nguyen interface with bot vendors, supervised coordinated amplification strategies, and integrated paid “clipping” campaigns.”

Would it not be completely idiotic to do something like that while staging a year long “Kendrick used bots to beat me” campaign?

Cmn, dont be so dense. You acting like Drake admiting hist lost is the solution but you are also over looking the whole “saint” narrative Kendrick was using. He literally s***ted on the industry only to become the industry b**** and UMG favorite.

Are we really thinking UMG had nothing to do on this? S*** was rigged.

Drake lost but it was not a clean victory, its disgusting they even made a whole act on this, Unless you think T swift dancing to A-Minor on the grammys its a totally natural thing bound to happen

They rigged every single person I know hitting me up like “damn Kendrick dog walked drake” the second MTG then NLU were out for 15mins man?

A lot of people experienced the battle in real time, and Kendrick was unanimously called the winner in real time

Sounds like you just haven’t accepted it yet, who cares if a b**** was dancing to NLU, the whole world has, it’s a fire song

Wtf did you read this s*** literally says

“At the heart of the scheme, Drake - acting directly and through willing and knowledgeable co-conspirators - has deployed automated bots and streaming farms to artificially
inflate play counts of his music across major platforms, such as Spotify.”
