Detective: “I typically, when I interview, I have it recorded…” if it’s NOT recorded that’s because it’s Government preference

Mr. Hester had 3 recorded interviews. Who made the decision not to record all of the recordings of Mr. Harris and Mr. Jones ?

Detective Carias: I don’t know whose decision that was.

Steel: the recording would be the best evidence, so these jurors have context of what was said - instead of relying on notes from law enforcement of what was said
