BizzleIt sucks but I feel like this is just the way it's going now, stereogum moved to a subscriber model recently as well. In a couple years all the music stuff (and stuff in general) that was free on the internet just won't be any more
I sub to stereogum. Ive been reading them for so long and i feel as an independent publication with great features its worth my money. But i subbed to them even before they made it necessary. It feels like they provide value and care about their readers.
Pitchfork i will not be subbing to. Its a shame though because reading old p4k reviews was a massive gateway to becoming a "music guy" for me and i feel bad for kids nowadays who wont be able to do that.

And fwiw pitchfork was pretty important to the culture and meant something from about 99-2014ish. Its a shame kids wont be able to discover the lateralus review, camp review and stuff like that in the same way now

I watched the 3rd one last year and thought it was fun, something about a slasher during Christmas haha. You can put the plot together without watching the other flicks. I think you’d dig it
