Did yall see pitchfork pay gated reviews. a shame. Know it hasnt been what it was for many years but its completely over and done with now
crazy how backloaded before and after science is. Really forgot that. King's Lead Hat, Julie With... and By This River are all Top 10 if not 5 Eno yet the first half in general might be the weakest out of his '77 work (including the albums with Bowie). However, these three tracks are astounding. The B-side in general might be the strongest out of these three albums.
spider and i is amazing too (about him and bowie)

wow what an absolute shambles of a publication

You can still find the rating on wikipedia and aggregate sites
what a dumb feature.
Both go pretty heavy. I've heard some Can but I haven't deep dived into them. Vocalist kinda reminds me of old man Dylan
Dylan jamming with Can would be sick
thought youd like those. two of my favourite krautrock.
Alright 28 Years Later was rad but I'm more intrigued by what I've heard/seen about Bone Temple

It sucks but I feel like this is just the way it's going now, stereogum moved to a subscriber model recently as well. In a couple years all the music stuff (and stuff in general) that was free on the internet just won't be any more

Who's gonna read em?
That's the problem, nobody

The fam

S***'s been gone since RYM dude, the form just took a while
Letterboxd is more powerful than the Oscars now too

But who exactly are they to have any “authority” when it comes to music in 2026 ? Anyone can have an opinion and the fact they just came up with user ratings is baffling let alone having to pay for it imo.
I’d always trust the Fam and my old site Sputnikmusic over P4K. If Letterboxd ever came up with a music site it would be a done deal for them haha

Remember that Pitchfork movie site ? I can’t even remember the name

I agree (especially in regard to pitchfork specifically) but I do like being able to read thoughtful reviews by people who are paid to write them and who are really good at it. And I think it's a shame that that kind of thing used to be so abundant and accessible and now it's just not

Bizzle this is lame af tbh who cares about what some c*** cares about an album
It's cool if we share opinions and s*** here cause it's actual discussion but some rando's opinion should mean nothing
