Terrible week
the rest of the 2020s will probably see many more too
My town is literally on fire . Nearly got ran off the road twice this week by s*** drivers. Bad vibes.
Espresso is catchy beyond belief and I love that track. I didn't like her other singles tho
She went crazy on this one, mein freund

many more than that
Dylan, McCartney, Diana, Smokey, Glimmer Twins
Who else? Neil is grandfathered in too

Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

There's like 5 more celebrity deaths that are really gonna f*** with me
Two? I assume you're talking about Paul and Dylan but you'd have to count Mick/ Keith as well + I'm sure there's a bunch that @Elric could list off for you before the era is truly dead
As long as John Cale is alive, VU is still alive in my heart
Cale
Completely forgot about him
Dylan, McCartney, Diana, Smokey, Glimmer Twins

McGuinn, Who, Joni many I'll make a comprehensive list later
I’m a mess over the Brian Wilson news

Do you count legends of their era by decade from when they debuted or by their peak ( commercial/artistic) i would count Neil and Joni as 70s since that was their peak for both imo but I see the argument for the other way
I have a soft spot for Surfer Girl. It has been overshadowed afterwards but it's such a relaxing album. Somehow managing what they were trying with the first two albums and half of the album are classics tbh.

Neil made one of the most iconic songs of the '60s

Buffalo Springfield was pivotal and Everybody Knows for me is his peak so he's definitely both

Yeah Brian could've died in late '64 and he'd still be a legend in my books
Neil made one of the most iconic songs of the '60s
Yeah I'm not denying this, I'm just curious by how we judge legends eras. Peak vs debut. Neil def applies to both I suppose
E.g. when Kanye dies, I would consider him a 2000s star (his commercial peak and imo his artistic peak) but obviously some would consider 2010s his artistic Zenith.
Tbh anyone who makes it to the 80’s+ has had a damn good run in my book
but the feeling of entire generations soon to be gone is a weird feeling.

His first three albums were instant classics at the time but that '08-'16 zenith is unparalleled
