I hate when perfectly useful terminology can’t be used anymore because it makes you cringe as an association with the people you don’t like using it.
Yeah you're always on me for other words lol everybody has their own I guess
is that Mr yeezy
If so that makes sense. I think he suffers from somewhat correct argument but the worst wording possible syndrome.
You lost me here. Adhering to paranoid “Slippery slope” fallacies is significantly more reactionary than any of the s*** you’re attacking.
Giving huge a budget to a film that portrays POC in that way proved to be a slippery slope that literally brought back the klan. Portraying Jews as subhuman for years had a big effect on society.

As if the film itself inspired it and not something already stewing in the culture. The film acts as a reflection of what was already there. It doesn’t move the world, it’s not the spark, it’s simply something that distills it. Like absolutely no material a***ysis on how sociocultural politics works. Blaming art for how reality manifests is reactionary, no if ands or buts. Also if you have to blame the art, it’s also art created over a century ago before the average person made a mental detachment between the fictional works they consume and what they perceive as reality. Most mentally stable people have the ability to do this.

You think propeganda has no effect?

Not nearly to the extent that people who make a living writing about it believe

It's right there bro idk. you're aren't as convincing as this;
"The second Klan started in 1915 as a small group in Georgia. It grew after 1920 and flourished nationwide in the early and mid-1920s, including urban areas of the Midwest and West. Taking inspiration from D. W. Griffith's 1915 silent film The Birth of a Nation, which mythologized the founding of the first Klan, it employed marketing techniques and a popular fraternal organization structure. Rooted in local Protestant communities, it sought to maintain white supremacy, often took a pro-Prohibition and pro-compulsory public education stance, and it opposed Jews, while also stressing its opposition to the alleged political power of the pope and the Catholic Church. This second Klan flourished both in the south and northern states; it was funded by initiation fees and selling its members a standard white costume. The chapters did not have dues. It used K-words which were similar to those used by the first Klan, while adding cross burnings and mass parades to intimidate others. It rapidly declined in the latter half of the 1920s."

Yes thanks for the Wikipedia article
Want me to pull up original sources?
It’s not a source, It’s just a bad a***ysis of why it happened. It was going to happen in some form regardless of the movie. Maybe it wouldn’t look that way, but the impulse to do it was already in the air. Might as well listen to Ted Bundy when he says p*** made him decapitate women.

And garbage like that just accelerates the process. There's a difference between reflecting and/or commenting on the times and doing what Griffith was doing. Pretty clear it was in bad faith.
“All the institutional experts are correct. The course of history is linear and organic and all the good guys have the right ideas. Any skepticism towards any shifts in mainstream culture is a sign of someone’s sinister motivations. I cringe at their vague dogwhistles.”
What’s going on is way more complicated than this. Yeah the guy you’re debating is framing things in a very simple way that you’ve heard a million times by people who you dislike, but it’s not nearly this black and white. In terms of “cancel culture” it’s ironic the term was originally popularized by a literal progressive Marxist named Mark Fisher who ended up killing himself because he was bullied by people trying to cancel him. It’s not just “the good guys believe this and the bad guys believe that”. Leftists have been making these critiques way longer than conservatives who are now co-opting them. The minute the right gains power they’ll censor people too. Look at that idiot Elon Musk for example.
F*** de Buckeyes
Michigan x Georgia
They’ll def be the top two seeds. Interesting to see who ends up getting the last two spots

You have no way of proving this but by adhering to correlation fallacies and slippery slope fallacies — two huge right wing go to’s.

I apologize for that. I think your hearts in the right place. I just see these kinds of back n forth’s all the time and they’re exhausting. You’re a smart guy and smarter than me in plenty of areas.

You know I don't know what those things are stop being a d***

I thought I did a pretty good job of staying civil with buddy and seeing his perspective

C’mon man you know what a correlation fallacy is. I didn’t even go to college.

That rules honestly. Good for you. Happy you’re doing well.
Listen I’m probably like mildly autistic. I see conversations like this and I get like an itch that I need to jump in. It’s a character flaw. Let’s shut up about this s*** and talk about music and movies without arguing some of them shouldn’t exist.

Who said I'm doing well
life is difficult since I went straight
