I believe it tbh. This man surrounding himself with alotta sketchy ass mfs like Ian Connor and s***. Even people like Consequence or Rhymefest up and left him multiple times like it was nothing. He ain’t got anyone in his life that is really there for him if money and fame wasnt an incentive. I mean man had a cousin that tried to blackmail him.

Kanye admitted he started telling everybody that he's not taking their advice unless they are more successful than him. You saw how he snapped on Sway and Chance. Definitely a nightmare that won't listen to any reason. Pusha must be the only person he doesn't play games with at this point.

Sway not rly in his circle either though. Guys like Chance and Push just work with him for the music, I don’t think they really close enough to wanna discuss politics and personal lives like that. He’s just in this dynamic now where he ain’t really got anyone on equal standing to him that wouldn’t benefit from him in some way to give him advice. The closest to that besides his mom was Kim and I know we ain’t about to act like the Kardashians have integrity lol

I'm saying if he talks that disrespectful to people in public he's dramatically worse in private and I don't know how you can still buy that "Kanye against the world" narrative . Was the same thing with Trump, people act like he's hilarious but dude is literally up there imitating someone with down syndrome like we did when we were 7 (but knew better deep down) so it's pretty obvious behind close doors his shame and depravity has no limit.

I think it’s moreso just that it’s lonely at the top and Kanye ain’t got any stability via family or friends. Everyone just enables him for incentive. Nothing I’m saying is even crazy. It’s been known that people think Ye been surrounded by yes men for a long time. And yeah he’s disrespectful to people in public, but his fans loved it when he did it to Taylor Swift and George W Bush. He been enabled his whole career and validated. Same with Trump. liberals loved that dude and all his s*** talking until he started s*** talking Obama.

It all goes back to what I say. Everyone is just as much of a scumbag as people like Ye or Trump but they only really vilify people when they start doing it to people or groups they like

The thing is, it ain't really social progress though. Nike can sit here and tell you they are a progressive company that wants to promote BLM, LGBT rights, etc. but they are still a company that runs sweatshops in Indonesia and all these liberals crying about people making insensitive comments are silent about real problems like that. That got nothing to do with social progress, it's just plain hypocrisy and ignorance.

And everyone is free to hate someone like Gina Carano. But it's pretty disingenuous when someone like Amy Schumer literally plagiarizes her material but has more of a career than Gina. Like she f***ed up in a way that actually is relevant to her job but Gina says some unrelated s*** that is controversial and that matters more?

Pryor could still do his edgiest routine no problem because he was never punching down and his empathy was apparent. Don Rickles? Probably not. I doubt he would choose to retire instead of working within modern boundaries though. Like Katt says nobody likes them but they exist for a reason.

Getting "cancelled" for disagreeing with someone sounds pretty vague but I'm sure its always existed with another name like discredit or something.

Leonardo DiCaprio can go around flying on private jets and talk down on everyone saying they need to do better with taking care of the environment. But Gina Carano makes a point about how it shouldn't be okay to target people because of their political beliefs and makes an insensitive comparison to the Holocaust and she's outta there? It's quite obvious someone like Leo does far more harm to the Earth than Gina.

I think he just saw the toxic filth of Hollywood and Calabasas and reacted in its direct opposite way to fight it. He’s not right for it but like I said, he’s not stable since he has no real support system

I mean its hard to imagine great comics from the past being able to say their bits today, what was considered provocative is now offensive on a moral level. Besides cancel culture goes further than just comedy to where if you disagree with someone you could get "canceled".

Considering the part that Birth Of A Nation played in restoring the Klan I'd say it's a slippery slope. GWTW is also pretty horrendous and I wouldnt be sad if they are least stopped promoting it as the paragon of old Hollywood. Call it what it is.

If you work at a place with a Human Recourses department (I haven't) I assume you wouldn't bother making edgy statements or jokes. If you mean slander that's something else isn't it?
