Radagon is such a goated boss man, feel like this was what from was trying to go for with gwyn in ds1 but couldnt quite get it to this level yet

Idk bro Gwyn pretty immaculate too. Especially cuz he was basically God in dark souls.

Yeah but bro was dead with 3 parries, radagon hardly lets you breathe and you need 3 parries just to do one riposte. Gwyn has a fantastic arena, ost and design, but as a fight they didnt go as hard as they did with my man radagon
Dung eater is really the most vile nasty grimy video game character oat
At least he isn't an incestuous p3dophile like Mohg

Fair, but that’s also cuz ER has had 10 more years of gameplay development.
Radagon definitely more fun to fight

Gwyn was way beyond his prime, actual fight mechanics aren't exciting, aesthetically looks confusing because after all this ''god'' talk he ends up looking like just a regular old man
I'll take pretty much any of the final bosses of other souls games over Gwyn
His OST & Kiln of the first flame remain iconic AF though and i love all the Anor Londo lore so that includes Gwyn as well
But i feel like his son (nameless king) is infinitely more interesting and badass
Radagon was one of the most annoying bosses lmfao (not even gunna mention Elden Beast)
dude’s atk chains would change as you fought him, there were like 15 different ways he could hit you at any given moment
AND he’s lightning fast
At least he isn't an incestuous p3dophile like Mohg
Ay I always forget mohg is banging his child stepbrother
I think I blocked that from my memory

Mechanics are dated that’s fine but that s*** still hit in 2011, let’s remember Skyrim combat dropped same year
Also it all makes sense, he’s “God” but the whole theme is decay, and he still gives you the f***ing work.

I mean he's slightly too fast if you don't parry, and if you do he's a joke which is fine cause it's lore accurate but i don't think Gwyn is all that. He stands out because the boss roster in DS1 is pretty weak

Thats why i wrote that they couldnt get it right just yet, they needed the experience, the time and the progression the series went through

Tbh dark souls has a good roster, yeah the centipede and bed of chaos are worse than any ds2 boss even, but for that time a O&S (only great duo fight in the series), quelaag, artorias, manus, kalameet (top 2 dragon fight alongside placidusax still), Nito, sif, iron golem were very hard to find. These are all top tier in 2023 still, with 3 of them being in the best of series tier for me. In general its not until dark souls 3 when from had a all-around great roster. And with that said im reminded i need to play bloodborne yet again

DS1 has a great boss roster and many of From’s best, wtf are you on man
if anything i’d say Elden Ring has the “worst” bosses of a From game, and that’s arguably just because bosses were less of a focus in ER than in any other From title
the game still has so many amazing boss fights tho lol

Its all preference, feel like you either on the side of DS1 & 2 or everything after that
There's many people that have come around and seen what i see: that the bosses have gotten SO much more interesting over the years
I prefer the faster gameplay and the more out there aeshetics the bosses have gotten

I bet if you drop a list of the 10 best DS1 bosses it wouldn't be able to compete with what some people consider to be ''mid'' in for example DS3
But like i said after all its all preference and personal taste
My entry was Bloodborne so ive always gravitated towards the faster pace
And also a bunch of the DS1 bosses look so f***ing boring. The demons are generic, their art department has grown so much over the years
Still love DS1 mainly for the world, lore and atmosphere
DS1 bosses are awesome thematically but yeah of course the bosses got better as time went on
Bloodborne / Dark Souls 3 / Sekiro bosses are some of the coolest s*** in any game ever
Gael
Guardian Ape
Isshin
Orphan of Kos
Ludwig
Lady Maria

Yeah a lot of my most memorable moments from Elden Ring weren't boss fights but just f***ing around and discovering the world
Dragonlord Placidusax tho
