but the part about bare minimum and wasting potential stings a little bit in a 'oh that might be true' kinda way

i think SRS is his masterwork so far but for more of earl's career than not, i've had this feeling of him not giving us the full load ( ) and him holding back, giving us scant things, hiding his power leel, giving us like 'okay now thats out the way, lets actually lock in on a really well fleshed out and crafted album' type vibe.

like the vault of songs hes only played live is so deep, he is sitting on so much good stuff, but it feels like momentum comes and goes and by the time its album time, its something scant, casual and like him showing us a tiny glimpse of his actual true talent level.

JPEG’s production is technical, detailed, rich and vibrant asf. I think his production skill laps his rapping by like 5 times.

I like earl’s beats (both idls era earl production and srs) but there is no way he compares to jpeg on a technical or skill or proficiency or mixing level. In any way

You can say ‘fuck jpegs bleep bloop distorted corny beats I prefer earl’s beats’ and would be a fine opinion

But saying earl is a better producer is insane
