Overall, yeah I would put it over IDLS. It’s an incredibly emotional album that really resonates with me. Took it a second to click for me, but when it did, it hit like a brick to the face.

But, I also think IDLS has my favorite rapping from a technical standpoint. His delivery was really on point during 2014-2015 on IDLS and New Faces.

SRS clears IDLS easily, but thats only because SRS is THAT good. Thats not a diss to IDLS

i mean the the real last impactful "big step" was earls SRS kinda and he evolved from album to album before that and then got kinda different i wouldnt call it lazy, idk he became a father lives a different life and so on

i mean if you look at his discography its still crazy from project to project how he evolved, now it feels like hes kinda in spot where fans maybe expect a next step like a a surf gang type album or whatever new direction not voir dire 2 or something like that mavi feat

i think SRS is his masterwork so far but for more of earl's career than not, i've had this feeling of him not giving us the full load ( ) and him holding back, giving us scant things, hiding his power leel, giving us like 'okay now thats out the way, lets actually lock in on a really well fleshed out and crafted album' type vibe.

like the vault of songs hes only played live is so deep, he is sitting on so much good stuff, but it feels like momentum comes and goes and by the time its album time, its something scant, casual and like him showing us a tiny glimpse of his actual true talent level.
