you make solid points but even all that was fixed i think drake was destined to lose because people just wanted to bring him down
how true is this theory that these NLU numbers may be inflated?
I’ve been saying this since the beginning I really hope some evidence surfaces soon
I wonder why this wasn't enough for people tho. If Millie couldn't clear the air maybe Drake really had no chance. Idk but I do know some people already decided it's true no matter what and that group has been the most vocal
Because they want it to be true. They don’t care about evidence, they’ll dismiss what all the women have to say.
If Kendrick says it then it has to be true.

S*** had over 600'000 views in 3-5 minutes in real time

The first point of suspicion is that Kendrick only broke records on Spotify.
2. Whenever you use the genius shuffle on Spotify NLU pops up despite not listening to Kendrick at all.
3. Try listening to the Drake collection or This is OVO sound on Spotify further down the line NLU will pop up

Once you get the “groomer” mark on you it’s tough for that to go away. The reason being is because people basically say “that young person defending you is not old enough to understand what might be happening to them, therefore their statement is null and void”. It’s pretty textbook for victims to defend predators because they will hear “don’t tell anyone we are doing this” etc.
Then you pair that with the video from 2010 it’s pretty much an even bigger s*** shown then. On top of that, the more you try to defend yourself the guiltier you sound. It’s extremely unfortunate because, unless proven otherwise, we all know Drake meant no harm in those situations and usually people would get the benefit of the doubt, but with recent events of R Kelly and other powerful men going down for pedophilia everyone is attempting to attach the mark to drake too.

It’s certainly not normal. That song is defying pretty much all trends for big songs (streams growing on a daily basis, etc.) it certainly looks weird in the light…

This what I was worried about this entire beef. It felt like, keeping it PG or not, there were too many open attack angles due to Drake's many kerfuffles over the years.

It’s low hanging fruit but fruit nonetheless and it was a pretty cheap shot given they made two albums teaming up & dissing him but it is what it is. I think this will do more good for drakes career than he even realizes in the long run.
Because people are speaking out about how good of a person he is (including the now women who people were trying to make victims). It’ll all work itself out. I have no doubts in my mind about that.
Looking back on the whole thing I do wonder what Drake could have done differently.
Kendrick was going to release his diss songs with the pdf/sex ring stuff no matter what Drake did.
Like That was the bait to see if Drake would take it. Then after he did with Pushups, Kendrick took like 20 days off and recorded all his diss songs. At this point it wasn't about the beef or responding to Drake it was about Kendrick just saying and doing what he planned to originally. Even if Drake didn't drop Family Matters Kendrick was going to drop MTG and Not Like Us anyways because his first two diss songs were basically fillers.
So, what could have Drake done? Not reply to Like That? I think Kendrick was going to drop the disess anyways.
interesting post i saw on reddit. yall thoughts?
He should've been cooking up more music while Kendrick was quiet. The man was tired af, battling 20 ppl, and if we're being real he was a little arrogant to over look Kenny (which he himself gets as it's the description of the main character in man in full in relation to the arch rival). Kenny's management of the flow of the battle and drakes lack of preparedness for Kenny's death by 1000 bars strategy is what helped Kenny succeed. Altho I think it's lame to use prerecorded tracks, everyone kinda expected a song for song battle and Kendrick went the carpet bombing strategy lol.
However Drake is now fully preparing. His posts and vibes rn remind me of too late, album mode, drizzy. I think he'll show what he can do when he's fully prepped.
Also family matters is a top 5 diss record ever.

That 3rd beat is crazyy
That 3rd beat is crazyy
Need a whole album of that flow
Yep

I don’t think so tbh, not for the general audience anyway. Only for the people you wanna hear

"Murder scene on your man tonight, then come to the vigil with the candlelight
Body after f***in' body and you know Rick readin' my Miranda rights"

lol
the issue isn't just length of content but the fact that people are multi-tasking; they watch netflix shows, movies etc with their phones in their hands, and likely did the same here
besides, these are disstracks of two of the biggest names in music - nothing points to the current model of albums on streaming platforms (a ton of short tracks) changing

Yeah I agree and if it was anyone else other than two big guys like drake and Kendrick no one would listen to the whole thing lol
