Honestly, I feel mixed on this.

Imho, Views, Scorpion, DLDT, CLB, FATD, and $$$ all are pretty hit or miss in quality. There's great songs but then there's filler or meh type songs that f*** up the flow of the albums.

The bloat, sequencing, and lack of a strong concept makes the albums feels unfocused and playlist-like more than a focused album. In 2022, Drake shifted towards making more focused albums again but then he regressed back in 2023.

What's interesting is that Swifties also use sales/charts to claim that Taylor is the GOAT and has entered a "new prime" with her recent output too. And she has the most albums charting on Billboard of any artist, including Drake.

When this gets brought up on Twitter though, Drake fans start sounding like Kendrick fans lol.

All the drake haters would lovers behind the scenes this entire time. That is why this isn’t shocking news anymore. Congratulations to the goat!

Wait didn't Drake go into a licensing deal with umg in 2020? did any album since 2020 get the views push or the scorpion push? I'd argue because umg does not own drakes catalog after 2020 they decided to only focus on his back catalog.

So every time we argue numbers we just talking about label activity done for an artist basically. There is no metric that solely represents an artist musical success without label involvement unless the artist is fully independent.

All we got is our own taste in music. And thanks to this battle I found out that I can trust any number.
