TPAB sold half a million first week won every award ever. the replay value debate comes from it being compared to OTHER CONTEMPORARY RAP ALBUMS that released during that time. DIRTY SPRITE 2 was a masterpiece but was overshadowed critically by something like TPAB. What the STREETS was feeling vs what the CRITICS was feeling was different and thats where the replay bullshit comes from

Tends to happen when the quality falls off even further, making people go back to a time when things were better compared to how they are now.
