Last time he did that was Views and it got unfairly criticized mostly over a few bad bars and expectations of it being Lord Knows and Tuscan Leather x16.
I remember him saying he wanted it to be his R&B album. You take Hype, Grammys, and Pop Style off there and it’s a flawless album. Drake’s best album from a production standpoint and it’s honestly met the expectations of it being a magnum opus project. At least in my eyes.

KlausSee the s*** that has me worried is that Drake said people will hate on CLB like they did Views and it'll take time to love it like Views but that ain't going to happen if this is what CLB sounds like.
Views was like that only because the rapping on the project was lackluster and had not as much rap songs on there in general as it should have. The PRODUCTION and FLOWS and MELODY and SINGING however?? Was immaculate. Ain't going to be any slowly seeing CLB as a classic like Views if this is what it sounds like.
He didn’t need to show how great of a rapper he was on views, he just needed to show that he’s on the level of eternal artists like MJ and Beatles type.
Views is so immaculate with melodies and production. It also came out at a time where music and the world was ready for something new and usher in a “summer of love”
S*** was great and I hope he doesn’t drop the ball with CLB. Like u said you can’t grow with this type of music, just something to slap in the car.
