20 hours in and I’ve barely discovered a tiny part of the first area lol, the map is incredibly dense and there’s a lot of dungeons and side quests to keep you busy

Alright. After a full weekend, I've finally got the game down. Saturday was a lot of ups and downs and now I'm balling.

Hiring high level pawns and one mage to heal is key.

I will say I love games like that where you struggle really hard for the first day and then you end up running s*** once you get how it works.

Kingdom come was like that but this is much more fun. This game kicked my ass until I started playing as a thief lol

It feels like I haven't done much but I have been busting my ass trekking through the first region.

Made it to the ancient battlegrounds and that was a lot in itself. Got jumped by an ogre and a minotaur and something else almost all in succession. It was a beast. You get a lot of good stuff but that whole section is a gauntlet.

I'm looking at what I've unlocked out of the map and I wonder if the second region is small.

Many people have beat this in 30 hours somehow. I don't see how tbh. Even with fast travel I have to be at like 25 hours and Im still working on the main 5 quests you get when you get the main city

The only things I’d say ER has over it is world design and boss fights (the dragons are better in DD) everything else about the game just feels so much more fleshed out
