It's not copying GT lol. All they did was de-age everyone. That wasn't solely all GT was about. I'm not sure why everyone is saying it's GT because everyone is kids. GT started off like a dragon ball hunt but through out the universe where it eventually diverged into them facing the sins of the Saiyans. This series isn't like that it's more of an action comedy. There won't even be any transformations. The action will be pure martial arts according to Ajay in another tweet. That's why Goku has the power pole back.

The tweet tells us what the concept of the show will be like. It's going to be more like the JRPGs Toriyama worked on such as Dragon Quest. Apparently it's two other new main characters joining Goku, Vegeta, and the supreme Kai. If anybody played Dragon Quest we know how the story will be.

I think also people fell for those misleading leaks. That's why AnimeAjay was mad at Geekdom because he was half-right and half-wrong and he's the one who said it was GT-esque when it's not going to be anything like GT besides the de-aging.

Super will come when it comes. Even if they scrapped Daima for Super right now we just gonna get 2 short arcs we’ve all read and Super Hero AGAIN.

I just don’t think Toei is in a rush to get right back to Super especially when the first go around had such a hectic production schedule leading to all the inconsistencies and if they do end up catching back up to the manga they would still end up doing a bunch of filler since it’s still a monthly manga.

I don’t see them bringing it back until after a few more arcs are covered (maybe not even until they do EOZ content in the manga)

Moro wouldnt be a short arc. It was long as s***.

It was only 25 chapters, a lot of them were fight scenes or training so that’s not that long when translated to a full series unless they pack it with filler episodes

The saiyan saga alone was like 51 chapters being adapted, Moro is half of that it would be covered quicker leading to them going to the next arc with even less brand new material to cover the further they go

Granolah Arc is short as well

I mean in terms up Super arcs. It's the longest Super arc to date and I think even the T.O.P. aired for like a year at least.

But even then it would still come to a close and they’d have to get to the next arc and then super hero. Knowing Toei it would be a s*** ton of filler especially if the next arc isn’t finished.

It’s about to be 2024 and we are still covering the movie in the manga lol even if we do get Super back it’s not gonna be any time soon.

And just look at how folks acted about the movies being adapted into the first 2 arcs of Super, then all the filler and disjointedness that was felt between arcs. I think that’s because Toei decided to hop right into it with just guidelines from Toriyama instead of having enough content to avoid it all together.

If they bring Super back i know they wouldn’t want to make the same mistakes they did the first time

The arcs in itself are still short overall I just don’t see Toei bringing it back just to cover those 2 arcs+super hero because it would still eventually run into a source material issue if they had announced Super now instead of Daima

DBZ manga was ahead by 30 chapters from the anime when it started and sometimes had even less of a gap as the show went on. That’s what caused all the filler and the rougher portions of the anime.

If they are going for over 100 episodes for season 2 I think it would make sense to get as much source material in as possible that would lead to a satisfying ending instead of a cliffhanger

I will admit I was mad at first but people aren’t thinking straight. We are getting more canon DB that adds to the lore and characters all while the manga is building up the more intense canon parts. It’s a win win because we are actually getting something canon as the material in manga is accruing in the meantime. It’s this or getting nothing or that filler heros bull crap.

As a die hard fan of DB, I actively dislike DBS.
This looks like the best looking DB project since it's 2010s revival(aside from Broly)

Just hoping they don’t make everyone have large ass heads chibi style and that after this the wait for super won’t be too long. We might get two more arcs in the manga by the time this is done which I feel will be enough content to adapt.

Granola arc
Super hero recap (most likely)
Then maybe two more arcs. That should keep the manga ahead in my opinion.

Another thing is I’m hoping Daima fits perfectly in Canon to make it actually worthwhile. Also more content for DBT4
