No matter how much you lames try to deny it
It's kanye...it will always be kanye
Pet Sounds & The Smile Sessions are flawless.
The others are just okay, not nearly as consistent. Surf’s Up has a fair amount of mid.
I count 12 albums in op post
I count just as much in The Beach Boys catalogue
But if we go by consistence then I don’t think I would count as much in op original post lol but then I’m pretty burned out on Dylan by now
i aspire to be nick cave cool when i grow up

Yeah he listed pretty much his best albums.
The Beach Boys don’t have nearly as many good albums as Bob, Nick, The Cure or even The Beatles.
Their greatest achievements are Pet Sounds & The Smile Sessions. Other than that they just have really good songs spread out between each album like Sunflower or Smiley Smile.

@Ithaka on suicide watch rn tmz reports
Interesting question:
If someone else is from the same generation and did some album all the way to the 2010s like he does but not as many as him
Does having less s***ty albums makes their run better?
Idk if I’m being clear enough
Well in this case, I'd probably only compare other artists who have been working for about 40-50 years and have a relatively large number of releases like Dylan (like at least 10+). But when it comes to their discogs being "on par" with Dylan's, I'd def say having a good amount of high quality albums as well as an equal/less number of s***ty ones would qualify them in my book
Off the top of my head, in terms of people from the 60s who I'd say qualify: Zappa, Lou Reed, and John Cale (though I'm likely forgetting one or two).
Other artists that I think qualify would be: Eno, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, David Thomas, Robert Wyatt, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Klaus Schulze, among others
Yeah he does. But most of KTT are casual simps who don't listen to anything other than Travis, Justin Bieber and Lizzo

Yeah, why not? Most of his discog ranges from great to masterful, including:
• VU & Nico
• White Light/White Heat
• VU
• Transformer
• Berlin
• Metal Machine Music
• Street Hassle
• The Bells
• The Blue Mask
• Growing Up in Public
• Legendary Hearts
• New York
• New Sensations
• Magic & Loss
• Songs for Drella
• Ecstasy
He's only got several real misfires tbh

He's got a couple that are def more mediocre to me, but I honestly can think of any that I'd call "bad"

only heard it once didn't get much out of it at all
he really didn't quite know what he was doing at that point
Metal Machine Music
Yeah I'd include it. But even if you take it out, that's still 15 other albums that are (at the very least) above-average, haha
