Doechii not even a conscious rapper she just doesn’t rap over trap s*** and gets hit with that label

S*** really comedy lol a niggas rappin about all the f***ed up s*** going on and tryna bring awareness and niggas be like I don’t wanna hear that struggle s***. They rather listen to the nigga rappin about doing it on wax. Then when those blow up it’s like clockwork here comes the paperwork. Now it a debate on whether or not actual civilians should support a snitch.

It’s like they get off from watching the “trauma p***” but they wanna skip through the dialogue in the beginning

I used to be that guy. Would annoy my homies with that conscious rap talk nonstop

Eventually grew to appreciate both types of hip-hop after Mos said there’s room in the game for both. This was during the Soulja Boy era when we were all up in arms about the state of hip-hop

I hate to be on this type of timing, but labeling conscious rap as Harriet Tubman music means that person clearly doesn't give af about the plight and struggles of ADOS(African Descendants Of Slaves). Shows a complete disregard to history and legacy which reflect the anti-intelluctual movement going on in the world these days.

ADOS blood, sweat, and tears laid the groundwork for so many African American artforms and philosophies. They are the seeds and Hip Hop is among those fruits.
