Just beat this after 40 hours almost exactly
The gameplay was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed it (I'll probably try to platinum but it might be too tedious for me)
I feel like the pacing of the story was very odd. Felt like it gave me very little in the beginning, then nothing for 20 hours of main campaign missions then the final 10 hours was full of emotional payoff that it didn't really earn
It's a very Kojima game and I do like a lot of the decisions about it but I enjoyed the first one more as a whole tbh
I want to see a rainforest biome with waterfalls and such
Wouldn’t mind traversing a volcano either
Is there one in the game, haven't gotten to play much
As I progress on the platinum the story of this game basically being filler is still awful and hilarious at the same time
How do I bring the pizza guy back? I’ve raided that camp next to his house 3-4 different times looking for his stuff. No luck
I didn’t use the offroader much in the first game but it’s so efficient when doing bulk deliveries + using the monorail.
Saving all the express orders for last
Trying to platinum this s***
On chapter 10 rn

What you mean by 'bring him back'? You killed him or something? Ain't he at the pizza hut?

I thought you were joking but I just found the hidden Pizza Hut
Kojima is a madman
In the new Donkey Kong game there are void-outs and you can spend resources to build zip-lines
Kojima influence too strong
I thought you were joking but I just found the hidden Pizza Hut

time to put that dough to work

You boutta witness some greatness
Never played the first one. Is the first one good? I heard negative vibes about it first

It’s definitely a unique game so hard to say if you’ll like it. do you like metal gear solid? Or cinematic action-adventures like that? If yes, it’s at least worth a try. The first game is free on ps extra.

It's better than the sequel, just play the Director's Cut. If you want more action, play Metal Gear Solid 5.

It's better than the sequel
Sequel is literally better in every single way. I’d say the original is slightly less forgiving, but that doesn’t make it better

Death Stranding is a game that clicked with me off rip. I’d say play it for 2-3 hours (everything before chapter 3 is the “tutorial” area) and if you enjoy it then you’ll definitely love what comes after chapter 3. If you’re not into the gameplay then you’ll definitely love may as well drop it. It’s not for everyone
If you end up liking DS1, then you’ll LOVE DS2

The sequel is good if you care about endless dialogue about serial numbers. Kind of joking: but the only thing that is life changing is the capacity to teleport to start new deliveries. But if you want to experience the journey with a BB, BTs that are actually scary, better characters and world building, and a world that actually asks you to use your tools to traverse, then the first one is better.
The QoL improvements are barely improvement compared to the Director’s Cut. And I even prefer its UI compared to Death Stranding 2.
2 has more weapons and stuff, but it builds upon a first game that was about avoiding combat. The animations are awkward, the shooting id awkward, enemies look good but that’s it. Bosses are sponges that slap you. This is why I said it’s better to play MGSV if you want action.
