i know they already cast clayface but honestly i think this would've been fire
https://twitter.com/Adam_Pearson/status/1948386940870385948Too on the nose imo. They need a look that has to separate itself amongst this recent trend of "actor gets disfigured face/body" films that Clayface is following after The Substance and A Different Man
edit: apparently Mike Marino said he isnt doing makeup for this in an IG comment? That's disappointing but my main point stands
This movie takes place in Gotham? That's news to me.
I always assumed this was gonna be in like LA or something and then he goes back to Gotham once his origin is complete.
If you took everyone for their word and that any "merger" wasn't the plan "right now," then what does the design of a cop car matter? Why is the assumption that this decision has to be made now? We don't even know the canon of this film
I don't think these questions really matter on Reeves end until after Batman 2 at earliest, or if Gunn's itching to green light a DCU Batman film now. All it takes is one half-baked Gunn explanation and half of fans will gobble down whatever says
James Gunn definitely making s*** up as it goes along but I don’t think Batman is gonna carry over
yall know how when universes collide they destroy each other? thats what would happen with this

I still have a little hope
Flooding in Gotham
Bliss d*** epidemic
No real updates of Brave and the Bold
This isn't even a valid point because James Gunn has explicitly stated that whatever Peacemaker s2 shows as a flashback is now considered canon. It's obvious he wanted to keep some plot points and characters from the previous universe

That tweet used a poor example but the overall point is valid. This universe already managed to make an entire scene retcons and tiptoe through questions over how a follow-up season of a show in a prior DC universe can be canon to a new one. Casual fans shouldn't have to be in tune with what a studio exec is explaining to understand any of this
If they can do that on just their 3rd ever project, which seems like it worked well as of now, explaining elements of Gotham in a future scenario they go for a collab isn't gonna be nearly as complicated. Most non-casuals that care that much will just have to take whatever BS explanation Gunn gives
