If you wanna say it helped, sure, but it was like less than 5% of a factor in Kendrick’s path to who he became

    Okay?

So you agree with me then

Ngl I’m starting to question if some of you were actually into the genre in the early 10s. The takes itt are really saying otherwise

Like I was only 10 years old and even I had heard of Kendrick Lamar before Buried Alive came out

He ain’t even tag Kendrick on that song lol I remember it was niggas on KTT asking if that was Wayne. That feature and the tour def helped introduce them to Drake’s crowd. but people saying it put him on is a stretch because it’s not like we are talking about Drake of the last five years, who’s literally jump started careers wit a co sign.

Drake still had a lot to prove as did Kendrick. Also like you said in the other posts they had their own buzz at that time especially Kendrick. He was killin the blogs he just didn’t have a mainstream record yet.

the feature on F***in Problems was also a big look for Kendrick too

Not really because it’s still borderline a non-factor. Kendrick was gonna pop with or without that song

Take Care ultimately became the biggest rap album from that year over time due to it being Drake’s most iconic album but in 2011 Tha Carter 4 was the biggest rap album lol

Drake was maybe the HOTTEST rapper of that time but not the biggest. He had a crazy amount of momentum while he was on his way to where he is now. But he still wasn’t regarded as the biggest of that time. He was “big bro” to the Kendrick’s, Cole.. which is why that tour worked. But if you think he put Kendrick on then you have a Drake centric perspective of the rap scene of that time.

he didn't sent him to the moon. the interlude on Take Care was not that big. Don Toliver's feature on Astroworld was a bigger introduction of a new artist to the mainstream than that. Dre send K Dot to the moon
