He wasn’t the biggest rapper in 2011????????
this where you said it and NO HE WASNT
still bigger album
Quite literally wasn’t if we go off the actual facts
Not really because it’s still borderline a non-factor. Kendrick was gonna pop with or without that song
Bs drake featuring Kendrick gave him the stimulus he needed to make it on to the mainstream radar.
If Wayne never put Drake on then Drake probably wouldn’t be as big as he is today.
If Drake hadn’t gave the stimulus to Kendrick and The Weeknd then they would be no where near as big as they are today.
*by the way I had a homie show me a Kendrick song before buried alive, but I didn’t take him serious till Drake slapped him on the album.
he didn't sent him to the moon. the interlude on Take Care was not that big. Don Toliver's feature on Astroworld was a bigger introduction of a new artist to the mainstream than that. Dre send K Dot to the moon
Literally shut the f*** up and plan ur will
Watch The Throne sold 200k less than Take Care first week you absolute fool
That doesn't change the fact it was biggest Rap album of the year in sense of popularity. First week sales ain't s***. For example nobody cares about CLB anymore except you bunch of kkt dorks🤣
Nigga fix ya caps lock
NO

The Weeknd, yes because Drake is the first mainstream artist that co-signed him.
Kendrick, absolutely not
KENDRICK GOT HIS FIRST GRAMMY OFF DRIZZY

Exactly
Keem just deleted this

You 10 days late for making these kinds of jokes.
Drake was maybe the HOTTEST rapper of that time but not the biggest. He had a crazy amount of momentum while he was on his way to where he is now. But he still wasn’t regarded as the biggest of that time. He was “big bro” to the Kendrick’s, Cole.. which is why that tour worked. But if you think he put Kendrick on then you have a Drake centric perspective of the rap scene of that time.
cope
KENDRICK GOT HIS FIRST GRAMMY OFF DRIZZY
SO BLAME IT ON MR OVOXO
AND IT HURT CAUSE HE WAS THE SAME AGE AS, MYSELF AND IT DIDNT HELP CAUSE IT MADE ME EVEN MORE RUDE AND IMPATIENT SO BLAME IT ON MR OVOXO
I never denied it helped expose Kendrick to Drake fans that weren’t following the underground/blog scene at the time. But to say it put him on is a stretch. When GKMC dropped no one thought about that verse.
I'm not gonna argue fantasy hypothetical situations like "well if drake didn't put Kendrick on he still would have been big"
What happened happened and its easy to see unless you don't want to
KENDRICK GOT HIS FIRST GRAMMY OFF DRIZZY
His only Grammy for an album 😵💫
Y'all gonna ignore keem calling Kendrick wack huh
BRO KENDRICK LITERALLY HAS A 2.5 MIN SONG ON TAKE CARE D*** RIDING AUBREY ARE YALL NIGGAS INSANE

What?
CLB was the most streamed rap album of both 2021 and then in the top 5 of 22
Are those all ktt posters???
What other metric is there to go off of
