Just watched Andrei Rublev, that s*** was heavy

Disappointed with their Le Petit Soldat release tbh. If the annual B&N sales didn't exist, I probably wouldn't buy it.

Yeah I only just finally watched Sacrifice last week after a decade of marinating on Tark so I'm still not sure where to rank it

I might.... have to agree on this
Incredibly excited and honored to announce that THE IRISHMAN, MARRIAGE STORY, AMERICAN FACTORY, and ATLANTICS will all join the @Criterion
Collection later this year!

I really am not with this Netflix-Criterion deal. I don't like it.

Bombauch and Scorsese obviously have movies in the collection already so I get it but idk lol Atlantics seems the best fit of that batch

What’s the negative outcome? It gives a chance for Netflix releases to be bought physically

Netflix pressures them to release s*** that criterion possibly shouldn't worry about while some films that actually need a good release don't get the attention they need.
And not like Netflix couldn't release Blus themselves if they wanted to..

although this is kind of true. I don't think The Irishman would ever get a Criterion release if it wasn't a NF release
