Not even close

Memento is a good movie but still, naming other films doesn't change the fact that Tenet is bottom tier Nolan lol
It's not his worst and i respect the scope of it but overall it didn't wow me really. It's another Nolan film sure, you get the cool soundtrack, the set pieces, the high concept stuff that has to do with time.. at the end of the day i would feel fine with never seeing it again though. And yes i've peeped this in theaters when it just came out
Edit: i also hated everything about the 3rd act. Left me feeling unsatisfied even though it all started out great
Still bottom tier Nolan
Nah. Peak Nolan along side Dunkirk. He currently has the juice.

I think it’s a little above mid tier Nolan
I don’t really think it has a clear flaw because it’s very self aware and obvious that Nolan didn’t care much for the story and characters and wanted to make the most self indulgent thing he could, which I simultaneously respect and also know I will instinctively have problems with that approach.
But I feel like I can’t say this is bottom or even mid tier for how this is arguably the most confidently directed and edited film of his career. There’s just a number of elements here that are the best Nolan has ever been or at the least close to it.
For me interstellar and Dunkirk are his best but I think this is around the level of Inception. Not as emotionally resonant, but it’s more confidently directed and visually immaculate and even better paced with better action.
Saying Nolan was aware he was making a movie that didn't care about story or characters doesn't magically make that ok.

Dunkirk was great i'll give him that but everything that i could get out of Tenet and more i can already get out of Inception

Not every movie has to care about story and characters. Hell sometimes a movie is worse off for trying to, like when Cuaron tried to make people care about Bullock's character in Gravity, it just made the whole thing come off extremely pretentious.
@Bestowed
JDW was awesome! Had some Bond-ish moments without being the ip. Awesome.
The score is sick

sucks they didnt win any oscar for if
like they deadass fought backwards and made it look so smooth
This is turning into one of my favorite movies tbqfh, i rewatch it all the time it’s super cool looking and sleek, the score is great it’s probably one of my favorite scores ever it sounds massive a bit futuristic a bit classy. And some of the character interactions are f***ing great I wish I could just see more of them together mostly the protagonist and the twilight guy that lil interaction they had in the hotel where there like sizing each other out or something is super memorable to me for some reason.
When the lab girl is like “don’t try to understand it, just feel it”
I use that quote all the time in my daily life lol. My favorite movie quote OAT
Currently watching this for like the 20th time. This is truly my favorite movie of all time. I just love everything about it
Everyone has a favorite Christopher Nolan movie
the hallmark of a great filmmaker tbh
